GTA IV Review IGN *SpoilerS!*

Nice one. I didn't expect a video review from one of the big online game websites until Sunday. It seems like the guys over at IGN liked it :p

For those wanting to know which version looks better, the edge goes to the PS3. The textures and framerate are comparable, but the PS3 has far less pop-in. The 360 has richer colors, but the PS3 has better anti-aliasing making it look a little cleaner. Because GTA IV can preload onto the PS3 hard drive, the in-game loads are faster. Don't worry Xbox owners, the load times are rarely more than 30 seconds and don't occur very often. The slight visual edge goes to PS3, but the 360 is no slouch. Either version will do you proud.

*shock* Was awaiting what is the norm for multi console (ps3\360) games, that being ps3 looking slightly worse and having performance issues.

its looks truly immense.

Though the video is small, i am genuinely surprised with how nice the graphics look and there seems to be very little slow down for a gta game!

That was last year mate, Burnout paradise and DMC4 both "supposed" to look better on the PS3, seems like whichever way you want to call it it should be an awesome game. MGS4, Gears 2, Resistance 2 etc have a LOT to do to beat this to game of the year i think.

Wii fit will still sell more than GTA4, GOTY or not :p

On another note, wasn't it reported that after the first loading screen there are no loads in game whatsoever besides for cutscenes? Ign review says different.

Looks good to me, the only minor downside I can possibly think of, is how much the characters seem to lean when turning and running, but that, literally is ALL!

I have the ps3 version. I only experience loading screens when I first start the game or if I want to load a previously saved game. Loading a previously saved game takes a lot less time than the full startup.

I've not experience any loading between cut screens or the right island. (I haven't unlocked the rest yet).

well well well and well, that is a suprise, I really expected the PS3 to be behind on textures at least but intread it's better, sigh, <gently pats PS3>, we knew your time would come.
