Rock Band Questions

No, the Rock Band guitar won't work with the Guitar Hero games. The Guitar Hero guitar does work with Rock Band however.

You can indeed have two guitars - one takes lead and the other takes bass. I personally have (all for the 360) the GH3 wireless guitar and the whole Rock Band set, so I've done a 4 player game using the mic, drums, GH3 guitar and RB guitar.

Nice, guess I'll just buy some downloaded song instead of GH then.

Just got frets on fire for the pc, tis awesome. Can see why people like this type of thing.

Canceled my order for the Rock Band instrument pack as they're wired...let down. Twice as expensive as USA and still wired...what gives EA? Ordered just the guitar and game (might cancel that and lovefilm it instead)

I did toy with the idea of just buying the drums and game but that would still be around £90, so I thought what the hell and paid £125 for the lot.

Its a lot of money granted but I mormally spend £40-80 a month on games/points etc and it's november since there was last a game I paid for so for me it will be worth it.

I'm not bothered about the wired controllers either as long as the wires are long enough as I'm sick of constantly charging up re-chargables :D

Just to confirm cos im fick

I havent got any Guitar games im interested in RB but not at its inflated price

if i purchase GH3 for 60 quid or whatever it is, i can play both games without any limitations ?

can i buy the other stuff seperately? is the GH3 Guitar crap ?

more importatly is it recommended to do it this way or am i throwing money away ?

Sadly not, there is a guitar rechargable pack now but I'm not spending more money out.

Aye, I made the mistake of buying it. It's useless. Looses charge very quickly and badly designed for the battery socket as the spring connectors are just a little too low for them to touch the metal contact on the battery pack. I spent ages trying to bend them up but gave up in the end.

So should I cancel my RB order and just a get GHIII (360) I'm guessing the controller works with RB?

Not really bothered about wires if its just one for the guitar.

Only questions necessary :

"Is it a rip off?" - Yes
"Is it a rip off?" - Yes

and....

"Is it a rip off?" - Yes.....yes it is.

Can't believe how lazy they've been with the downloaded content too. Sure, there's a ton, but very little care has gone into it. I was really looking forward to the metal pack, with "Blinded By Fear" by At The Gates and "DOA" by The Haunted. Well, the vocal tracks are nothing but flat tracks. As long as you mumble into the mike, you're good. They couldn't even be bothered programming the pitch recognition for them. Sad.

I'll be waiting a good while after this is released, when it's being dumped for cheap. Guitar Hero is the clear winner in the rhythm game field, as far as the UK is concerned.

What do you consider a reasonable price then for a guitar, mics, drums and the game? Considering no one moaned for £65 for GH2/3 for a game and guitar.
