Ive got TMNF, I tried to login here http://official.trackmania.com/tmf-playerpage/playerPage.php
but I got a authentification error, do I need to register? Can't see a link.

Crowze is the only one with more medals from me; unfortunatly profiles are stored locally and I'm away from my home PC so am currently just starting online mode. Bloody good fun!

Have you only got TMNF or have you got Trackmania United too? I'm not sure if you can sign-on with only the freebie version.

From what I read you have to click on the forum posts in the actual game a few times, and then it should sign you in automatically.

Running this game on my old laptops radeon 9000 is suprisingly painfree...it just doesn't look all that nice....kinda a bit like a high resolution PS1 game....

Really enjoying online now, but I rather prefer to play on Naedo tracks; user ones are normally too silly for me. Played agaist a sub 1000 rank today...arma with a backwards r and in colours, he was damn good but I beat him on a couple of tracks

Started at 69k today am now at 45k. Steaming up the ranks. I adore this game

I enjoy the "lolmaps". Some of them are really daft

Always been my fav type of maps, CBA with anything over 45 seconds.

I enjoy a mixture from the plain stupid to sprints to endurance. The only one I do get slightly annnoyed with is lap circuits, as you have to do one whole lap before having enough speed to do a 'flying lap'. Reminds me of grand prix qualifying...

Eugh, I can't stand lol maps. They really only serve a purpose to boost your ranking. I prefer a server with a mix of flat-out and tech tracks in the Stadium.

I'm usually on Mistral's server (that's TMUF, not TMNF tho).

Trust me, they don't help your rank that much

I just prefer them, especially on the Stadium tracks. Stadium isn't my favourite zone, more of an Island man myself.

Can't beat free, imo

Well worth the d'load mate, you will lose a fair few hours to this!

Edit: If you like it, it's well worth spending a fiver on the full game, Trackmania United. If you're quick you should still be able to pick it up for a fiver from a couple of online shops. Don't bother paying £25/30 for the Forever version though, you can patch up to that. You get a lot more game for that £5, one of the big bargains at the moment, imo.

I've played mostly on the Wooty TMNF server recently. There are some decent racers in the W4 clan to give some competition.

Yeah ive been on there too. the W4 guys all seem alright too.
