Nikon - How is it pronounced?

i've heard it pronouned nigh-con (as in, "the end is nigh" and conman) but also nikkon (as in Nick (for nicholas) and on, in one fluid word)

so, which is it?

I say Nick-on, Americans seem to say Nigh-Con though.

I say "Nikkon" but as above the real pronunciation is "Neekon". I can't stand "Nighkon" though.

haha! That's how I used to pronounce it and for the same reason. Now it's Nikkon.

I pronounce it as Nee kon. I can't imagine anyone pronouncing Nikon as Nigh kon or Nippon as Nigh pon sounds too similar to Nike!
