Ok, next three hours I’m on a date, taking a girl to one of those snowdome type places, where they have pubs /bars, cinema, skiing, bowling and places to eat etc… We’re basically just going to grab something to eat first, few drinks, then see if we can catch a late showing at the cinema, or bowling or just even take in a late evening bar, depending on how it goes..

Thinking, I’ll be wearing black shoes, and a nice pair or loose fitting blue stone washed jeans, but should I wear a nice motif t-shirt or a more casual pinstripe grey or black shirt? Its more casual, so not wearing trousers.

Normally save full button shirts for night clubs, however not sure about this one. Its more of a multi evening night-time complex, looking forward to it, should be a good laugh..

Thanks…

Whatever you decide on, just don't slip up and tell the bird that you had to ask what to wear on a computer hardware forum.

Hmm... Yeah, its one of those last minute 'oh eck what would look right, need second opinion, damn, I live on my own no one else to ask moments.'

:p

I was also thinking the t-shirt, its a nice t-shirt, should look pretty nice and smart but not too overly dressed etc...

IF you're wearing shoes, black shoes at that, I think a casual shirt would be best option, you can always roll up your sleeves like Irwin R Schyster

I presume by 'motif' t-shirt you mean one of those horrendously common things with graffiti-esque scrawls on? If so, you look like a plonker. Get a shirt on, i dont know any girl that would rather you wear a tshirt than a proper shirt to impress her.

Hmm... Actually, I've got a nice shirt that has rolled up sleeves, with a type of button to hold the roll up in place... That's a thought, rushes off to see if it needs an iron..

Cheers... See, knew it'd be a good idea to ask, second opinions never go a miss.. :p

If i was a woman and saw the guy was wearing a shirt, i'd feel uncomfortable knowing the guy made such a lot of effort and whatever. It's all very well saying 'Dress to impress' but in some situations, personality should shine above appearance. :)

If she is put of by what you feel comfortable in then maybe she's not the girl for you?

Do you happen to be going to the xscape in milton keynes? From your description, I would have guessed that.

yeah that's the place...

ok, so, either a shirt with rolled up sleeves, or how about a collar t-shirt with a few buttons at the top, plain black, red line around the collar?

Its not a a full shirt, but its not a motif t-shirt either.. More a polo shirt?

All these tops I've got, no idea which one to wear..

How well do you know this girl? The reason I ask is, if you've already made first impressions, then don't worry too much about what you wear. It's you she's going to be interested in, not your shoes.
