Kaiser is now 19 weeks old, full of trouble and growing quickly. Took some photos of him early this morning as we were walking him in the woods.

He is beautiful! I am a great fan of the Visla and would love to have a pair when I have the space :) What's his temperament like in general? :)

At this age everything is a game. He's very playful, cheeky and energetic. They make useless guard dogs and are superb with kids, even my two boys who can be very boystrous at times. They're great with other dogs too but can wear them out as they have boundless energy. All-in-all, a fantastic but highly energetic family pet.

Very nice dog :)

Love the color.
It's on the cert as Russett Gold.

He looks like a real charactor, a very lovely dog.
As one of few all purpose gundogs (hunt, point and retrieve) he needs huge amounts of exercise. They're highly intelligent and will often try to outwit you with fake limps, stubborness and hiding. Other than that he literally just sprawls across the floor farting and yawning.

What a unique looking face, very handsome indeed.

He's going to be massive look at the size of those paws/legs!

The females are down as medium and the males as large and there's huge variation in the breed in terms of size. Ours was bred from a working line of dogs and is particularly bigger than most. At the moment he's all legs but when adult they fill out and are very muscular.

A couple of unflattering pics of typical Vizslas, albeit small ones.

I'm not fussed, but given the choice i'd rather not have it staring me in the face so to speak ;)

I think if it went to a poll, the majority of people here wouldn't want to see a dogs erection.

Each to their own though, eh WalkeruK? ;)

He is gorgeous! Very lovely dog and breed.

Great choice when picking working bred dogs, there so more intelligent and alert.

Has he had the snip?

Not yet. Not sure whether to get his hips scored at 1 year and let him stud or not. The breeder reckons we should as he's a gooden but to us he's just part of the family. If he displays sexually aggressive behaviour as some dogs do then we will but other than that, probably not.
