Ok, I'll come clean about my dirty secret. The butterfly pics were taken inside an exhibition place, they're so used to people that they'll land on you as you walk around so it's not difficult getting close.

The dragonfly pictures were taken outside though with real life wild dragon flies. To get close you just have to move slow and be very very patient!!!

I did manage to get pretty close though:

I tried that one too but all my glasses are rubbish and not crystal clear so the photos didn't turn out well.

The water beads like that in the picture because of the physical and chemical properties of said leaf, it's very easy to replicate if you want to see for yourself The two bright lights you see in each bubble is the twin flash that's on the end of my camera lens.

All very interesting, I'll definitely be reading up on that at a later date. One thing that I've heard that you didn't mention is that lots of the pyramids line up with star formations to a level of accuracy we've only just been able to obtain recently with telescopes.

I love debating about conspiracies, because there are so many things that could be debated about whether or not it is a conspiracy or not.

I think one of the best ones has to be 'Did they actually go to the moon...?"

My opinion is that although there are plenty of things that could point to it being a conspiracy, is that they did go to the moon, but i do find it strange that they have stopped going... Suppose there's no need to really is there?

The moon-landings conspiracy theory is one of the easiest to disprove - with a simple observable fact:

The dust particles kicked up by the astronauts follow a trajectory consistent with a lunar gravitational field.

There is no way to replicate this accurately on Earth. The closest possible would be a properly calibrated parabolic dive in an aircraft - and if you're telling me that "studio" was constructed in an aircraft... The only other possibility would be the use of some kind of anti-mavity device - which would be a hell of a lot more impressive an achievement than simply visiting the moon in a chemical-powered rocket!

Some of these are very interesting points (particularly the 'centre of the earth's land mass' one, which would be fantastic if actually turns out to be true, but some are not exactly special:

#The height of the Pyramid's apex is 5,812.98 inches, and each side is 9,131 inches from corner to corner (in a straight line). If the circumference of the Pyramid is divided by twice its height (the diameter of a circle is twice the radius), the result is 3.14159, which just happens to be pi.

There are numerous easy ways to form a ratio of pi, without actually having an accurate numerical representation of it. For example, using a piece of string tied to a stick, you can produce alsorts of shapes which will have ratios of pi in there.

# Each of the Pyramids four walls, when measured as a straight line, are 9,131 inches, for a total of 36,524 inches. At first glance, this number may not seem significant, but move the decimal point over and you get 365.24. Modern science has shown us that the exact length of the solar year is 365.24 days

Utter rubbish. This assumes that the measurement "inch" has some broad physical representation. It does not. It is a totally arbitrary measurement. There is no more significance to its height in inches than in meters, cubits, hands, or any other dimensional measurement.

This is the one point which most leads me to question the rest of the article. If the blocks are, indeed, cut to an accuracy of 0.01", then the margin of error for the curvature of the sides should be greater than the curvature of the earth. Also, detecting a slight curvature is a relatively easy task from ground-level, even with relatively primative tools - certainly easier than from an aircraft with WWII-era surveillence equipment. Quite what the Newton comment at the end has to do with the price of chips I don't know...



Anyway, I'm skeptical about the other 'facts', mainly because of the last two points I highlighted, but if the 'facts' about the average land-height above sea-level and the location being the centre of earth's land mass are actually true, then that would be very interesting indeed. These are two spatial co-ordinates which would be easily obtainable from orbit, by a technologically advanced civilisation. Also, representing them in a geometric fashion would be a good way of communicating in a non-verbal manner.

As for 9/11 why did bbc 24 report that building collapsing an hour before it went down?.

It wasn't an hour before the event; it was just over 25 minutes:

Building 7 of the World Trade Center, located across the street from the Twin Towers, caught fire after the initial attacks on the WTC. [CNN, 9/12/2001]

By 4:10 in the afternoon, CNN had reported it being on fire (see 4:10 p.m. September 11, 2001). Subsequently it is reported that WTC 7 is in danger of collapsing or may have already collapsed.

At around 4:15 p.m., CNN reports, “We’re getting information that one of the other buildings… Building 7… is on fire
and has either collapsed or is collapsing… now we’re told there is a fire there and that the building may collapse as well.”

About 12 minutes later, BBC reporter Greg Barrow, who is in New York, appears on the BBC radio channel Five Live and says, “We are hearing reports from local media that another building may have caught light and is in danger of collapse.” He adds, “I’m not sure if it has yet collapsed but the report we have is talking about Building 7.”

Around this time, the area around Building 7 is being evacuated, apparently because senior firefighters have determined it is in danger of collapsing (see (4:30 p.m.) September 11, 2001).

At 4:53, based on the earlier reports, the Radio Five Live show’s presenter will incorrectly claim that Building 7 has already collapsed, saying, “25 minutes ago we had reports from Greg Barrow that another large building has collapsed just over an hour ago.” [BBC, 3/2/2007]

Starting at 4:54, BBC television will also begin reporting that Building 7 has already collapsed (see 4:54 p.m.-5:10 p.m. September 11, 2001). In fact, it does not do so until 5:20 (see (5:20 p.m.) September 11, 2001).

Several times, the BBC reports that Building 7 of the World Trade Center has collapsed, when it is in fact still standing. At 4:54 p.m., its domestic television news channel, BBC News 24, reports, “We’re now being told that yet another enormous building has collapsed… it is the 47-story Salomon Brothers building [i.e. WTC 7].”

Three minutes later, its international channel, BBC World, reports, “We’ve got some news just coming in actually that the Salomon brothers building in New York right in the heart of Manhattan has also collapsed.”

Then, at about 5:10 p.m., BBC World repeats the claim: “I was talking a few moments ago about the Salomon building collapsing and indeed it has… it seems this wasn’t the result of a new attack but because the building had been weakened during this morning’s attack.”

Yet WTC 7 does not collapse until 5:20 p.m., over 25 minutes after the BBC first reported it (see (5:20 p.m.) September 11, 2001).

The BBC’s live shot even shows the building still standing in the background, while its collapse is being reported. When these reports come to light early in 2007, Richard Porter, the head of news for BBC World, will suggest the error was due to the “confusing and chaotic situation on the ground” on 9/11. [BBC, 3/2/2007]

Starting around 4:15 p.m., CNN and other news outlets had been reporting that WTC 7 was in danger of collapsing or may already have collapsed (see (4:15 p.m.-4:27 p.m.) September 11, 2001).

As you can see, the Beeb wasn't the only station to make this mistake; CNN, Fox News and other stations also reported that the building had collapsed before it actually came down.

You get the black background because the picture is taken with a fast shutter speed, the flash illuminates the subject but there is not enough time for the light from the background to build up an image on the sensor, the effect is more pronounced in this photo because it's taken indoors where the light levels are much lower then outside on a sunny day.

Haven't you just explained why you see no stars on the surface Moon shots?

What makes conspiracists think they know better than anyone else? After all we're all just unenlightened Joe Publics discussing this over an internet forum.

Most conspiracists 'know' all of this stuff just from watching videos that 'expose' everything.

As I've said before, let's try and put it in context: there are many, many more people who have seen all the same arguments and 'evidence' for these conspiracy theories as the conspiracists themselves, and yet rightly write it off as rubbish. Yet the conspiracists insist on being enlightened, and in the know somehow, or something like that, and yet the only difference is that they've chosen to accept what these videos are telling them, whereas no one else has

Of course, if you're already predisposed towards the conspiracy theories it's easy to do some 'research' and find 'evidence' that backs them up, but then no sane person would treat this as evidence

Basically this all boils down to whether or not you want to believe in conspiracy theories. In my experience, conspiracists believe what they do because they want to, not because they've put thought into it. This allows them to discount any contradictory evidence

It's probably one of the only provable and clear conspiracy's that actually exist.
