Just wondering how many here eat a lot of junk food or avoid it all together ?

I personally have not had:

Chocolate
Potato Chips (crisps)
Ice Cream
Cookies
Blah blah

In almost 2 months now, No McDonnalds either. I have home cooked Fries (done in the oven) and fish once every 2 weeks now.

My diet is now basically boiled rice, oven cooked chicken, boiled Potatoes, veg, eggs, tuna/salmonthat kind of stuff.

I have a massive appetite for fruit, and have at least 5 - 7 pieces a day (apples, bananas, strawberries, oranges, whatever I can get my hands on basically).

I have a fairly large (read massive) appetite, I have started to do weight training about 6 weeks ago now, and trying my best to get completely cut and a 6 pack before the end of the year.

So, anyone else giving up on the junk food

Its very much the curse of my night shifts... I tend to eat junk food a lot overnight, mostly out of boredom, though last night I had salad rather than biscuits and crisps, and that worked quite well.

I haven't given it up just in moderation really. I don't have a sweet tooth in the slightest, my only vice is CURRY!!!! I like keeping in shape so i'm not that fussed about it all and if I want something naughty to eat then I will just munch it down but do a little bit extra at the gym or go for a swim.

I go to burger king at least once a week after the cinema, the rest of crap i eat on mu lunch break, its not bad what i eat, its just i eat too much.

Yes. And its getting a bit out of hand. I always have a bag of sweets a day. Be it winegums or Sports Mixtures. I also have a not so healthy packed lunch for work as well.

lots and lots, its all that seems to be in my house, whenever i buy healthy food its gone by the end of the day so i eat more unhealthy than healthy.

Hardly ever. I maybe have a bit of chocolate once a week, that's it. I can't remember the last time I had a burger, probably about a year ago.

The problem with cutting out junk food completely is, when you do have some, you tend to have a stupid amount. I generally treat myself once/twice a week to junk food and try sticking to good food. Does wonders for your health/body/skin :)

I eat too much junk food, at the start of feb I joined a gym and was working on cutting back on the crap, but I've got so much work for my uni exams I don't have time to go the gym and I've not been eating properly, gonna sort it out again once the exams are over (4 next week and 1 a week on Monday... bah)

So, in answer to your question, yes, but not for much longer.

not really, eat loads of greens and veg and fruit, treat myself to a chocolate bar or crisp or whatever when i fancy some, but id rather have a punnet of strawberries to feast on then a bag of doritos

i think one of the reasons people favour junk food is because it's so much more convinient, it doesnt expire for months, so u can stock up on loads, you odnt have to wash it, peel it, whatever, and any fruit that isnt average (like apples, bananas, oranges) cost a bomb!

Nobody lives forever. A boring diet may add a few years, but you're still going to die in a horrible (and most likely excruciatingly painful/slow) way, so you may as well just indulge.

It's about the quality of life you have while you are younger...

I would rather be in shape/healthy and be fit when I am in my late 30's rather than wheezing around. (I am in my mid 20's now).

It's not about boring diets it's about fattys that can't keep their hands out of the cake tin and don't get up off their arse and do anything!

I prefer being active going to the gym, swimming, walking, snowboarding or anything really then I can eat what I like and not have to worry about it. I also enjoy cooking something tasty for dinner or tea far more tasty than something from a take away unless it's a curry obviously that's fine!
