Male HairStraighners....

Just started to grow my hair a bit longer myself. Been using my mums straighteners but they are difficult to use as my hair isn't long enough for the standard size yet.

Was thinking about going for the ghd mini straighteners but the price is a little off putting...

oh and definately need straightners to style my hair with the lengh it is at or it would look awful.

ps

I like girls <3

exactly my point...

Grow it long, let it curl, allow buildup of twigs and nesting birds, then grow a big beard.

Works for me! As a added bonus some people seem to mistake me for jesus.

Loincloth and gorrila for a friend optional.

More and more men may be using them...does not mean it's right...

Men that spend a longer time on their hair than me is not an attractive quality!

When I feel I need to straighten my hair I use my Remmingtons. They're just as good as GHD's and they only cost £25.

I have the £120 GHDs. My fringe is about 1/2cm above my lip. I have had them since my hair was about half as long, and they worked fine. :)

Don't bother with the men's version, there isn't really any benefit.

Is this like Head & Shoulders 'for men'?

For the emotionally insecure who are willing to pay the premium because they think it's any different from the female equivelent.

The beard is coming along nicely, its too cold in Wales for loincloth and I couldnt afford a Gorilla so make do with my friend Chimp

same goes for all male 'grooming' products...mosituriser is moisturiser..even if you call it skin balm....why not accept that fact and buy what you actually want..the womens stuff is bound to be cheaper as they will already shift larger quantities...sticking it in a black bottle and sticking 'sport' or 'extreeem' on the front woant make your skin any softer than if you use your girlfriends (or boyfriends) stuff
Not true actually, Mens and Womens skin is very different. Mens skin is thicker, more delicate (more prone to irritation) and more oily then womens. Therefore they require a different type of product. They did a test recently on How to Look Good Naked on moisturisers for men. They tested 4 products one of which was the top selling moisturiser for women. It was a blind test, unsurprisingly the womens moisturiser came bottom. The men testing found it just didn't moisturise enough, though it was better than nothing.

As for straightners, I can't imagine there is any difference. Marketing ploy I think.

Have 2 pairs of GHDs. Thin plates and normal sized plates.

Used the thin plates when I had sort hair but that was a long long time ago. I use the normal sized ones now.

Anyone that says GHDs are not that good obviously can't use them properly. Been straightening my hair for the past 3 years and got through a lot of cheap ones. GHDs are worth the money, they are built well and They come in black or pink... or gold I think. Either way choose the pink ones for lulz.

But my hair is shoulder length now and straighteners take too much time so might have to get it chemically relaxed.

Gutted for anyone on OcUK who is actually gay. OcUK doesn't love you.
