Boredom at work is striking so I thought I'd start this thread.

It can be from when you got a new weapon, a video cutscreen or the ending credits...

For me, recently it would be when I was playing TP on the Wii, when you do a bridge/jousting fight with an ork or something similar and green and you knock the guy off his pig - the video cutscreen for that is just awesome - Epona rears up, golden light in the background and link swing his sword in the air.

So so cool! :D

when i played an FPS game with a mouse

-edit, and Mario 64 actually, i never owned an N64, but i remember seeing that on a mate's and i thought 'wow, this is amazing'

-edit2, having a fight in school over which was best, psx/saturn/n64, we all had bleeding noses and detention for the week :D

First time playing Goldeneye, I was in awe at the graphics, shooting the first guard and seeing him react based on where he was shot. Amazing.

First time with the super mavity gun in HL2, picking up a guard and throwing him against a wall. Awesome :D

Oh also downing Ragnaros for the first time on WoW. Hearing the screams and cheers of 40 people over vent was awesome :D

PC was Downing Ragnaros in WoW or Quarm in EQ
Console was the first level of Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast when the killer whale chases you, just felt awesome.
 
Opening cutscene for FFVII where the camera zooms out to show the scale of Midgar. Great stuff for me at the time :)
 
A couple of days ago I got 200/200 achievements on the 1989 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game on live. I also maxed the scoreboard with a score of 9999. I sure got top of the weekly top scores.

Over all I'm 62nd place. Yay That is the best recent thing I've achieved.
 
Seeing the 3D mario head for the first time in mario 64

The first time going online with a console in Phantasy star Online.
 
F/A-18 Interceptor on my Amiga 500.

I once took it to it's ceiling, swiched off the engine and landed it without crashing.

That was cool :) though not strictly what the question was asking!

Edit: Getting my epic in Everquest was also a cool moment
