Either The Stig just drove passed my house or someone with a Lambo has a quirky sense of humour. Fairly weird seeing a white helmet poking out the roofline of a lambo spyder.

Is there a new lambo that they would be testing for the new series?
 
Never seen the stig do a "road test". He has only ever been on the streets for the quirky things like the caterham from London to Scotland, and the cross London race.
 
A little strange. He usually does'nt do road test. Usually the 'races' against Clarkson etc...

Was is a Gallardo Spyder?
 
It'll just be a wannabe.

I once saw a chap in a Caterham with the full white suit and helmet just like the Stig's. I know it wasn't though as there weren't any camera vans with their boots open in front of him.

He did drive a Caterham from London to Scotland once, I doubt they bothered filming him all the way.

Talking of the Stig, there's an airfield near me that's used by Top Gear (as well as Williams). A mate who works there recons that the Stig (or one of the drivers who is the Stig), is Jason Plato.

He is widely concerned to be the constant stig who drives the laps of the top gear track. But it has been stated that tey actual driver varies depending on what they do. Its not a single person. The Stig who drove the F1 car is most likely a Renault test driver at the time, the driver in races could be anyone, and the stig who went accross london on the train was probubly just a spare crew member. So there is no reason why they couldnt have used Plato for some feature somewhen.

I know they did. But when I saw this particular chap it was like a year later.
 
as somebody says, it is widely believed to be ben collins. Interestingly ive also seen him on a bbc3 program about young drivers, and he has also written columns in the top gear magazine.

On occasions it is known that ben collins, or the regular stig hasn't driven the car. e.g. the renault f1 car, which i think was heiki kovaleinen? .
 
the stig is a character. its meant to be a few people

supposedly ben collins does the laps on the track in most the cars. as above sometimes the manufacturers wont let just anyone drive and send there own driver who then becomes the stig
