You haven't actually refuted my claim - i.e. the assertion that smoking makes you stupid - just because some of your friends smoke. Anyway, if you fully understand and accept the risks involved ("risks" being the operative term here as there is no guarantees smoking will kill you), then there is absolutely no correlation between stupidity and whether someone smokes tobacco...

As I already mentioned, I don't smoke myself. Yet I don't think using phrases like "enjoy your cancer :)" is particularly acceptable really.
 
I smoke and have done for 14 years - since I was twelve. I did quit for a year when I was 24 however I picked them up again.

My girlfriend has just stopped so I have started thinking about it. The hardest part is the first 2 weeks, I found going to bed as soon as I got in from work to help last time it was either that or kill someone.

i used to smoke when i was out drinking, i call it beer pressure, not peer pressure

stopped for AAAAGES, then went to barcelona recently on a stag do, we were all smoking in pubs because we 'could' i'm weening myself off them slowly again

my gf HATES it big time, so i have to stop

drinking a bottle of wine before going out last night didn't help

I wasn't saying that smoking makes you stupid, but the act of smoking is a stupid act. All those times I used to smoke I was being stupid. When anyone puts a cigarette in their mouth, they are being stupid. It is not an intelligent thing to do.

Prefer cigarettes.... Well i smoke roll up's as they are cheaper. Tried giving up but i've got no will power whatsoever so sod it.
 
Used to smoke, then quit. Now my addictive personality has been let loose on apples and internet shopping instead. Costs more but is healthier in the short term.
 
Do any smokers actually like the smell of stale smoke?

I can't so I was massively bothered about smoke in pubs/clubs but it was the smell of your clothes in the morning that made me wanna puke!

I've lost count of how many times I checked into a "non smoking" room in a hotel and have it stink of stale smoke, obviously the smokers don't like using the "smoking" rooms as they don't like the smell either!
