hmm, cant find any info on the audio codec which is on the 2 cheapest boards: Realtek ALC1200

Its not listed on the realtek site, its a completely different number, not 886 or 889A etc so i'm thinking its a very cheap codec.

As for this on the more expensive boards we dont even know who is making it, nevermind specs: ADI® AD2000B 8-channel High Definition Audio CODEC.

Hopefully this information will come out soon. Would like the realtek 889A codec as that does 24bit 192khz for input and output.
 
i just hope they allow high fsb with 65nm quads and 45nm quads, only real reason to upgrade from p35 really. I dont need pci-e 2, 889a audio on gigabyte/abit would be nice, apart from that there arent any huge incentives. but 420fsb for my q9300 just isnt good enough for my ip35-pro, was expecting 440 min. Hoping for 470 from the p45 with very small voltage increase.
 
get the feeling its almost a deliberate flaw to scare away the enthusiasts to the higher boards leaving the lower end stuff to the system builders who's buyers will never likely tamper with the internal components

Having looked at it again - how will you actually put the 24 pin psu cable in there with a 8800GT card or similar in the board????:confused::confused:

no i think they will both run at x8 in crossfire, get an x48 board if you want full crossfire, these boards are x48's minus the full crossfire, but use a 65nm instead of 90nm northbridge chip and use newer IHC10R sata/raid controller so these boards are better if u dont need crossfire. Cheaper obviously too.
 
Looks DDR2 but the links I saw said it's DDR3, has competitor links within the link so cannot post more details.

Sheesh, 2 x SATA 3Gb/s & 8 SATA 3Gb/s Intel® Matrix Storage Technology with RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 support ?? Quad Gigabit LAN controllers ??
