Travellers/gypos/tinkies/scum

The one's I have encountered are absolute scum of the earth.

We do a lot of work in Solihull and see them driving round all day long. Within the last month a few things have happened:

We were offered a TV out their van at a petrol station...

/Irish accent
Do you want a TV? Plasma. You won't get a better price than this."

After politely declining a few times and going to drive off, they saw my work mate looking back at them out our van so they drove after us. They accused us of getting their registration and reckoned we were gonna phone the police. After a nice slanging match it came down to, in their words exactly:
"I'm gonna smash your ******* face in".

So we just had to keep driving until they stopped following.

Two weeks ago we were at a job in a verrrrry posh little village. The house is on an extremely quiet one way road with no traffic. We left the van unattended for all of 5 minutes, backed up on a large drive. Came back and all the petrol tools had gone missing. 99% sure of the culprits...

At another job they just walked down the drive and started nosing through a skip. Started asking if we had any pipes etc.

Extremely dodgy people and not the type you want to pick fights with.
 
You are right they are scum. They have close off a road around our area , and graffitied on a private wall ' Gypies only, no entry!' Who the hell do they think they are?

Good Afternoon,

I have addressed this to both the news and letters email addresses as I'm unsure how much interest you have in matters such as these.

I'm writing to express concern on behalf of the village of Gourdon at the sudden appearance and multiplication of "Travellers" in the small industrial estate at the top of the village.

Under 2 weeks ago the first couple of caravans appeared on a council owned patch of grassland, between the industrial estate and a field owned by a local farmer. In the time since then they have steadily grown, this morning I had a brief glance while passing and there must have been at least 10 caravans.

The appearance of these caravans is causing great upset within the close-knit Gourdon community, raising many security concerns. Gourdon is a village where generations have grown up not worrying about things like locking doors and leaving tools etc in gardens, but this will all have to change as the last time the "travellers" appeared there was a huge increase in things "going missing", including tens of thousands of pounds worth of marine grade stainless steel from one of the yards in the industrial estate (rumour has it close to £100,000 worth).

A policeman friend of mine advised me that it's a council issue but the council are extremely slow at acting and have a "tolerance" to travellers and even supply them with toilets and bins (neither of which they appear to use).

Along with security, the other main issue is the fact they trash the areas they occupy, evident in the Catterline lay-by's a few miles north of Gourdon, where smashed caravans have been left along with general rubbish and huge piles of rubble. At the lay-by's they also tie their dogs to the picnic benches, where the dogs eat/sleep/do their business. I can't imagine these benches will be disinfected or anything along those lines, so I pity the next people to have a picnic there after the "travellers" have left.

If anything from this is printed, I wish to remain anonymous as don't want any repercussions, such as vandalism to personal property.

Ok easy solution build a war machine (catapult :D) and fire petrol bombs would be a fun week or so making it an covert ops to hide it lol then just fire away.. if any move to your position run like a crazy man.

or do what other people said and get the council on it.

Does that meen if you kill one of them that have no birth certificates they dont exist.. loop hole :) or is that just wrong? i suppose it is.
 
Just wish the councils would stop bending over for them, there was a bunch up here who got !given! land worth £1000's just because they wouldn't move....ye logical. Didnt stop them stealing everything that they could see and moving on to the next place £10,000's up on when they stopped there.

SCUM all of them!

Solution seems simple...
Round up a possie and attack the gypos at the next county across. Your lot will soon flock that way :cool:

Not sure if that's the same one I know of, but in Hinckley, travellers descended on the Hinckley United football ground. It's part owned or was funded by the owner a construction firm so he hired all his crew to collect as much rubble as they could from every job they'd done and they blocked them in building mounds all around. The travellers panicked and offered to leave and left the county (not making a mess!!). Absolutely awesome. Wish I'd taken pictures when I saw it happening :D
 
I've never understood why the dirty thieving scum are called "travellers" in the first place, as they do nothing but cause trouble when asked to keep on "travelling"!

They're fond of the the farmland surrounding Longstanton. They managed to make their way onto the old airfield, but were moved on within a couple of days. Although they still managed to leave loads of mess.

They're not much different to our home grown chav scum who fester away on council estates like a bunch of parasites.

technically irish travelers are an ethnic minority - i doubt many people would be saying these things about black people

i.e. black people move into urban areas, crime rates rise, they sell drugs they mug people they are responsible for a disproportionate amount of murders and gun crime - fact is it is pretty racist to lumber the same stereotypes on all black people

ditto to travelers - not all travelers sell pegs, tarmac your drive then rob your house and steal your dog etc... I don't think you can really generalise about them without being pretty racist and a bit thick tbh...

thats like saying I got mugged in brixton therefore all black people are scum

just because you've had a bad experience with some travelers in your town doesn't logically infer that all travelers are scum

But that's the thing. The vast majority of modern day tinkers are scum. The vast majority of negros are not scum, even though they are statistically more likely to be criminals.
