Brands you HATE

its stairing me in the face
it laughs at me at nioght knowing its rubbish and i still hve to use

Little does it know that its going out my 3rd story window once iv done my exams...
 
Belkin - Dont touch for wireless, ended up buying some really cheap wireless adaptor and did the job 10x better than my belkin one.

Antec PSUs - Ok, first PC I built i put an antec one in there, after i while I got persistent random power downs so i went to a certain hardware store and bought a cheap 20quid PSU and all was fine again. When i built my second I went on the assumption "lightning cant strike twice" but oh was I wrong, random power downs AGAIN - and these were two different Antec PSUs in two different systems - never touching anything from them again.
 
maxtor - terrible problems with them
linksys (no they ARE NOT CISCO :D ), dlink, draytek, belkin - in fact any home type router.
creative - you cannot download drivers from their website? I seem to recall
 
Don't really hate any brands although my experience with ATI wasn't great due to the lack of configuration options in their drivers (at the time, at least).

Well, according to their CEO, or whatever that escaped chimp Balmer is officially called, because my other machine has Gentoo on it, I'm a terrorist or comminist or half a dozen other slurs he's made.

But I'll fess up, Dos-XP isn't all that bad, I can tolerate it. I don't use it through choice though, it's just a necessity for certain games and apps (and easier than WINE for others). I do all my sort of day to day stuff (mail, web, tv,music,DVD/vids,file management) and some of my music work in penguinland. Not cos I'm making any statement or anything, I just like it better.

MS are not my fave folks, but then again I could throttle Red Hat at times (RPM, scurge of mankind!)
 
I black listed Creative Labs ages ago, but they continue to put themselves under the spot light by doing really retarded things. Why do people still buy their products??

I mean a company that purposely obsoletes old cards through drivers and threaten people with lawsuits just because they have tried to help fellow creative product owners enjoy their sound cards, something creative are incapable of doing themselves! surly they have to be hated for that right??
 
Creative - bad driver support ><

hp/compaq computers - for the copious amount of trial and crap software they put on their OEM pcs, which means that even the high end ones take 2-3 times longer than the budget machine next to them to boot up.

Maxtor - had 2 drives die within 2-3 months and another that was dead on arrival.

Atari - Ok not hardware but I can not not-mention them for the complete mess they made of test drive unlimited. It could have been so good on the pc :(
 
Microsoft mice - last 6 months to 1 year if you are lucky
Tagan psus
Maxtor and WD hard drives for being poo and dying a lot
ACER laptops - Keyboards shouldnt be like trampolines

BTW Matsushita is the parent company of Panasonic and Technics etc
