Quite Funny, Tefal posted said Failboat due to thinking that he was victorious in the argument....

Point..... Proven

Actually I was just Curious if you'd come back.

Still had to come back for that last word didn't you ;)

I hope you get banned soon. Seek was right; thousands of posts, majority of them total rubbish.

Cheers asking questions doesn't seam to get any real answer though, so a funny picture always helps.

Exactly skeeter.

I hate the failboat but jesus christ he got the timing spot on. I guess its good when used at the right time.

Summary of the thread : Students in the public eye = tossers

Some students = ok

Student campaigns and protests = stupid and annoying.

You have totally summarised this thread. Well done! :D

If only you managed to come up with a picture that qualified as funny as opposed to the same old recycled tosh we've all seen before too many times before...

You've seen the dredger before? :(

Meh fail boat was needed due to the classicness of it, and for the timing I needed it quick.

Although I just ended I go into a 12 month internship. On plus it has great flexitime (I can start at 10 and end between 3pm and 8pm) and is good pay for an internship. Gonna be a change but should be good. A lot of students struggle with these placement years because they can't hack the working day.

If anyone here has worked for 3M Bracknell please spill any beans or gems of wisdom.. :)

I have a friend who is doing an internship there this year, as to what he does he always says he can't tell us...

But he seems to be enjoying himself so...

As for the topic, yep some students can be right *****, why is there such a need to get wasted every night and make so much noise? I agree as well that some students are a ******* discrace, one of my housemates has made mine and a couple of my housemates lives difficult the last couple of years with various police visits, noise and mess. It's got to the point now that our house is a mess, because we can't be bothered to clean up after him all the time, and he never cleans up. He is probably the 'typical' student, that causes the rest of us to be tarred with the same brush.

The problem is you only (generally) hear the ones that do play up to the stereotype, thats because the rest of us don't make too much noise when we come back/don't get blind drunk every night and leave messes when we have BBQs.:)

iv never seen it used to such devastating effect though, it was tongue in cheek and timing.
It cannot be denied that there was no better comeback?

I've been one myself, and I've lived with more than 20 in shared houses to date.

But the absolute vast majority still come across to me as inconsiderate, selfish and immature. And often (as house mates) loud and dirty too. In fact I'm not sure I'd happily live with any of them again given the choice. Even the good ones were only tolerable, rather than decent.

Discuss.

well im not selfish, im mature , i like things very clean, and not too loud, but after all that i assure you that youd live with the exact opposite to get the hell away from me

the point is you cant win ;D

Well, not to toot my own horn, because I certainly am not the most mature person ever, but I am a second year student (Well third year soon I guess) I have lived free of family for a good few years now etc.

I manage my money so that I am generaly not just left eating super noodles for a month, I try to be polite, holding the door for people, minding my manners etc. I clean my room and clothes on a regular basis, and myself even more regular than that. I also keep the house clean.

I am not the only one like this either, most of my friends are clean and tidy, and friendly to boot. Sure we mess around, we play games, heck the other night we played tag. But overall the students that I hang out with at least and I hope, myself are not as bad as you are making out.

Granted there are some idiots out there, but what you are saying is like saying all americans are idiots, all english are hooligans and all french are rude, it is just not true.
