Calculator, Phone, PDA, TV, Clock, MP3 player (have a jack sticking out of your arm), etc etc.

I like the fact it says it could monitor for illnesses detectable in the blood. Pretty good early warning system.

I'd have it for that without the display!

All of those things can be included in a single portable device, which would be a much healthier option then embedding them in your arm. Not to mention screen quality...

Read the article again. It's healthier having it in your arm. Although I agree the above things are pointless.

But what if someone mugs you and steals the portable device... then you have no music/calculator etc. If they want to steal this you would loose an arm so it's much harder to steal.....oh wait... not my arm...leave that alone *CHOP* !

Medical possibilities are brilliant - imagine a paramedic attending a collapsed patient and simply looking at his arm to get a full readout on his condition. Uses for diabetics/heart patients etc... as well.

Won't be long before the feds hack it though - 'You been drinking sir...? Your arm says different!'
