Loaded it up and I had to log in to all my websites each time I started it, it wouldn't restore my backup and now I've lost all my old passwords and am not happy with it so far.

I like the theme of your firefox (in particular the white menu/bookmarks bar and buttons) is that the default firefox 3 theme with Glasser or do you have a custom theme/other addons?

It's the default theme but Glasserfied :p

How do you force the extensions? I right click but don't have anything that'll do it.

After installing nightly tester tools restart FF3 and simply right click override any extension that is greyed out.

I've also noticed GMAIL loads much faster and there's a new window the tells of progress (even though it's brief) anyone else get this?

Cheers ears, looks good.

I've been getting that gmail loading thing in ff2 for the past few days also. I thought the loading time was getting so long that I had time to actually see the progress bar :D

[edit] shame that Tab Mix Plus isn't working for me with NTT :( I got used to the undo close tab feature by middle clicking on the tab bar/close tab button. I keep middle clicking the tab bar only for nothing to happen lol!

Settings extensions.checkCompatibility to false will do it as well.

There's no reason why it shouldn't have retained your old saved passwords - you did backup your profile first?

using the about:config tweak didn't work for me as many extensions said they didn't have secure installations so would not work.

I used Mozbackup first and when restoring it, it transferred bookmarks, but no passwords and everytime I reload all tabs, I have to login again, it obviously isn't saving properly for some reason.

Having to log back in is a separate issue - that's handled by stored cookies. Does it remember the username and password you need to log in though?

If it doesn't, try knocking out signons3.txt and key3.db - it'll take out any saved passwords there were, but it should recreate those files and start saving logins down the line.

In the case of having to log back in, but your username/password being stored, try moving/deleting cookies.sqlite.

In both cases, you obviously will need to shut Firefox down first.

tried that thunderbird with this version and it works ok but ive got it to check for mail every minute but the only time i know ive got mail is if i go into the thunderbird mail programme itself to check and then it comes up in the taskbar,i thought if i had mail after 1 minute it would just come up in the taskbar without me having to go into the programme itself, any ideas please

doesnt do it toilen m8,its in the quick launch box but have to go into it then messages will start coming through then it will show up in the taskbar a little envolope box,but if im in firefox and close the thunderbird box i will not get to know if i have messages, and ive got it to check every minute
