forums are probably falling apart the amount of people trying to access it and with 10mins to their new estimate im expecting another delay to be announced in 10mins saying come back tomorrow, thanks for your money, ta

There was a story doing the rounds that they're shutting the forums to Joe public until it goes retail.

Edit: This was before they went down.

I don't really care about the forums, all I care about is downloading this 'patch' that seems to be incoming - even if it comes now, I'll be downloading while it starts :/

Common practice these days for spam avoidance, Blizzard do it on patch days. Nobody wants to see a forum, within the space of a few minutes, sink 300 pages deep of "is it out yet?" "where is it?" "lolfreecandy?" threads.

anyone can dl the game since the links have been posted numerous times and are now probably making the rounds on usenet/torrent, however your account needs to be EA enabled to play when they put the servers up which should have been 3hrs ago...

Course they may have locked it on the patch page to stop people trying to log in every 5 seconds which could be reaking havoc with their log in server??...One hopes for small patch and away.

since its been down for 3hrs i doubt it, unless its just a means to keep people away from pinging the auth server which wont be up yet either whilst they test the servers...or something

Fun filled day this has turned out to be, why couldnt they do all this testing today and say the game will be out on the 18th instead of making everyone wait. They must know they will encounter problems.

Pain in the ass, i knew i shouldnt get my hopes up high.
