lol i remember playing dmc 4 the other day...i swear it looked like one of the women wasnt wearing underwear(outside the first big castle...mission 2 or 3).

hadnt played a dmc game before so just wasnt expecting that.
 
Ahhh well what can i say, that the americans are more prudish than the japanese? you just need to look at manga and anmie to see how the japanese like big boobies and scantily clad women
 
US is weird like that, seems you can show as much killage as ya want but a pair of mammaries is right out.

I have 2 examples of this, once i was out in florida on a holiday, age 19, and was sat in the villa one day flicking through the cable channels and i came across the Friday the 13th marathon. Friday the 13th, all day, no interruptions, on a publicly available cable channel :confused: So i think "Hey BRILLIANT" I mean cheap titties, blood and gore and psycho killers? What more could you want while you eat your fruit loops? But then with some dismay i noted that over the course of the movie (I believe it was either the 3rd or 4th installment) i noticed not only had the cursives and all blasphemic references been replaced with comical audio inserts like "GOSH!" and "Oh DARN it all" which albeit funny sounds ridiculous, but there wasnt a single bared breast to the point that the entire scenes appeared to be missing. It was surreal and i only ended up watching maybe 2 during the day, figuring i could come back for the uncut night time ones. Alas there seems to be no watershed in the states and the 'damnations' and 'curses' permeated into the night time shows too. All of this despite the fact that i saw two spurting decapitations, three throat cuttings and stabbings with every household and garden tool you can imagine... hmmm

My second anecdote comes more recently, being a lucky git and getting early access to a copy of GTA4 i was online before a lot of other folk. This obviously prompted mass hysteria as fanboys bombarded me with "tell me its good or ill send your mum nasty emails" type messages (my friend request list got so full my xbox would crash if i opened it :S). Anyhow this one kid, seemingly distressed asked if i could go on voice chat and explain what the sex scene(s) in the game contained, not to him however, to his PARENTS as they were concerned and wouldnt buy it for him (well done imo). Anyway i couldnt see the harm in letting them know the truth about the game, as i highly dislike the treatment such games get in the mainstream press and take any oppertunity i can to defend them i thought this an oppertunity to enlighten at least one small pocket of the world.

So i agreed and he put his thickly accented father on the mic (was rather comical like a 1950's telephone conversation "hello, can you hear me, are we connected? Shelly is the internet on ive got a bad line" something like that. Anyway once communicaton and language was established i proceeded to inform him that there really was very little in the way of 'offensive' sexual content in the game. I was honest and explained that you could bed prostitutes in secluded spots (neglecting to mention that you could then kill them for a refund :D, try that one in ipswich lol) and girlfriends, albeit offscreen with mildly comical sounds. I also told him about the strip clubs, i said they are very similar to real strip clubs however there is no nudity, it all stops at scantily clad. He seemed somewhat satiated by this, however seeing my oppertunity to make a profound statement about the twisted american viewpoint i said :-

"But of course you'll be somewhat more worried with the drug dealing, gang murders, assassinations, swearing, deciet, theft glorification of the criminal life and such right? I mean you KNOW your son will have sex and probably even visit a strip club one day, in fact i would expect you would applaud it, but i would imagine its the other things that you would hate to see him take influence from"

To which he responded, and i quote rather than paraphrase:-

"So there are no nipples shown?"

I left the chat, I geuss i just dont get some people, never heard if the kid got GTA but i'll bet he did.

Anyway where was i going? Oh yeah, That about sums up americans and sex, its ok to kill and maim and do drugs or buy and sell them. But god help you if you drink 3 pints, see a stripper and go home and get it on with your missus, you sicko.
 
Lol, no word on EU version though, this could be just for the website rather than the actual game. If the US version has cuts like this, it doesnt mean the eu version will though, were not quite so uptight on stuff like that. Anyway region free gaming on the PS3/360 for the win if true, i just want to play the game as the devs intended Honest :D

Not in Japan, if your big breasted and attractive you will be treated like a princess, if those boobs are natural well the red carpet is yours!. Thats one of the things Japan likes, the swedes are known to be sexually "over" active, the japanese are known for there fascination with large boobs and scantily clad teenage girls. America though is the odd place, they love blood guts and violence yet cringe the smallest sight of a nipple. Sexuality shouldnt be frowned upon its a natural thing, ripping someones head off isnt.

hmm, It's been a while since I've played this game, But hasn't it always been a case that Ivy had her breast hanging out of the bottom of her top??

Why change that now? Because it's next gen?
 
surely having **** that size would hinder her fighting skills? i mean they'd be flailing all over the shop!

even so, its only a game, why cover up a few mm of flesh just for the westerners? lol
