Ps3 console sold out

There are two high street retailers that sell games next to my office, and was stunned to see that they were sold out of all PS3 consoles. I guess GTA4 was good business for Sony.

Is this just a local thing or has this hapenned on your hunting grounds?
 
lol you need to go into town then . theyre sold out in "that place" in newcastle ! noticed today when buying a cd

is there meant to be a new model coming or something ?

They are selling out because the stock of 40's is being run down to be replaced by 80's with nice Back Compat ;)

Just to further wee all over the people who bought a 40 gig ;)
 
ooops forgot about that little rule. who on earth would buy pc components from there anyway. infact they dont even sell any :p
 
Sony maybe trying their hand at the ol' Nintendo 'oops-look-we-done-gone-and-sold-out-of-em-all-now-you'll-have-to-wait-and-the-ensuing-frenzy-will-surely-bolster-interest-in-our-console malarky?
 
Have you looked at one of the bigger gaming stores that do click and collect to order your PS3 and pick it up another day? Seen it for £319 with Gt5P and Uncharted, cant find any GTA4 packs anywhere. As a side note one of the bigger online retailers have the PS3 gunmetal 40GB with MGS4 for £319, it says its an exclusive but im sure konami said that they wasnt coming to Europe?

let's just hope they don't run out when it actually is released :) Anyway not my prob - I have PS3 and will get MGS4, although I dread the Konami School of Film, not in the mood for long ass cinematics

got to go I just heard the codec ring

Well if past MGS are anything to go by it will be cramed with cut scenes. I like some of them but they do tend to go on a bit and with 50gig on a Disc i hold my breath
