I have not heard anything about a new 80gig bundle, only on here.

Personally I think it is BS ..... but we will see.

I can't see Sony NOT bringing it in. It's more obvious what is available elsewhere with the Internet generation, it's very easy to check so people aren't so easily screwed.

People WANT Backwards Compatibility and a lot of people aren't happy at us not having it. Bringing in the 80gb with BC at a higher price (so Sony can make more money) is also a good way of bringing in DS3 controllers.

No doubt there is a guy belonging to that retailer frequenting this forum, he's noticed this thread, and in turn has jacked up the prices because of the OCUK started epidemic.

Im near sure a while back sony said something along the lines of the 60 being phased out for the 80 as they were able to get 80 gig drives cheaper than the 60 gig drives.
