I'm guessing there's a few people on the forums who drive some really nice cars, some stupidly expensive cars etc...

Fancy sharing them with us? Only post if you think your car is worthy! :)

There's no right or wrong, unless the majority agree. :D

Kris, I point you here. ;)

All cars are in there, just a matter of trawling through them. :p

There is also a 'Whats your car history' thread somewhere which will have more. :)

Best I have is this...

Actually, barring the headlights - there are two underbonnet 'vanity' lights that illuminate when you open it, so you can see it :D

Here's the previous two as well:

Dammit, I feel embarressed now because there's nil content in this thread and I've gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overboard :D

:D

I would post a pic of my brother's Spitfire 1500, and of his various 205 GTIs and his two MGB GTs...but it seems I have no pictures of them. :(

Will be able to get some in about a week or two. :)

Personally though, I've not got or had any exotic, muscle or sports cars...yet :(

Lashout; what tuning potential does that thing have? Although i appreciate peak power doesnt mean a lot, that does seem a trifle low for such a large displacement?

Must be american vehicles. I noticed a lead unplugged under the bonne of my Jeep. Plugged it back in an voila' a little light came on in the bonnet.

You can take the 350 up to about a streetable 700, 800BHP on forced induction, maybe a little more, without increasing the displacement.

HP Performance sell, for example, a bolt-on-stock turbo kit that takes the L98 to 500BHP and 620ft.lb, that's a single 60mm turbo - for about 2000 quid, as an example - on an otherwise bone-stock engine barring fuelling and exhaust changes.

The Callaway Sledgehammer, built in 1988, was a heavily modified twin turbo 5.7 and generated 880BHP, resulting in 254.76mph along with a host of aerodynamic and chassis modifications. This was in 'street legal' trim and was used on the road without any hassle - it was designed to be a 'daily' driveable machine.

The more common Callaways which you could buy from the dealer were anything from 345HP and 450 lb.ft of torque up to 450HP and 650ft.lb, depending on spec :) - all twin turbos. Extremely reliable bits of kit as well, by all accounts.

But, as with most V8s........There's no real limit :D

The later Chevy V8s (like the LT1 I owned) are a bit more effective and the 90's ones were making 300-400BHP from the same displacment :)

Very easy to free up though. A lot of emissions and noise regulations that kills a large amount of the potential output :) - I.e. the L98s have these horrible prehistoric catalytic convertors - and there's 3 of them in the exhaust system.......

True for most american muscle though, big engines, tuned very conservatively so they can run forever and ever.

its american...

I realise that....what does it have to do with its tuning potential?

Hence me asking what tuning potential :) Bound to be loads in it when used in the manner we use cars like this in the UK.

Lashout - cool, get on it! :)

american motors are always massively "under powered" for what they are, 6litre v8 putting out 250? a 2.5litre 5pot ST does that.....

but i doubt a ST will be running in 300000miles :)

The correct answer for tuning potential is HUGE, its the one thing american engines have going for them, you can crank up the power without doing anything to the internals until you hit silly bhp.

Love the Vet Lashout, cool car :)
