Zafira VXR?

Now they are pointless. The size of a corsa, the shape of an MPV

See, I used to think that too...

Until i got a hire car one and it grew on me... was really big inside, ideal for 5 people...

I found it like a 16 year old pet dog..., nothing great about it, but i felt sorry for it and that made me treat it like a pet :)

does anyone take on board what clarkson says ?

to me hes all about supercars and thats it

there might be a understeer in them, but if it fits the job in hand perfect who gives a monkeys ?

this thread is just so full of BS and bias i cant even begin to compose a reply to this thread

Airchair experts, i appluad you for criticising cars you know nothing about, let alone driven. But hey its got a vauxhall badge, so its got the rubbish right ?

case in point ...

or the monaro? great car :), however, both the above car (VXR8) and the monaro originate from Australia, Holden iirc.

Test drove a Zafira VXR when looking for one, on par with my Mk5 Golf GTI in a straight line pretty descent for what it is in the corners aswell. Personally thought it handled better than a Astra VXR simply because it had the torque steer under better control.

You can hussle the diesel one down a back road at a good pace aswell and surprised it pulled a GPS 125 pretty easily, wouldn't say its hot hatch handling but far from rubbish either. Not my choice of car but the girlfriend loves it and its been a very handy car to have managed to get a two seater sofa in the back of it etc. Really just a tool/work horse but can give you a little grin every so often, driven accordingly it certainly wouldn't be easy pass in my Golf on a twisty road.

Correct.

Yup - also correct. Only good Vauxhalls now are those which they've simply put their badge on.

So thats why Clarkson said the VXR Monora is as good as an M3?
