Induction kit

It's all about the RROD on 1.2 Ecotec's :p

No Cold Air Feed yet :(

open air filters such as cone filter without cold air feeds (and sometimes with) get heat soak from the engine and result in a loss of power after booting it.

As for green panel filters being compared to an OEM one, whereas the K&N one being better, WTF!!!

green and bmc panel filters are regarded as the best you can buy.

Man I'm pulling out this argument, people need to do more research

They only bog down from stationary. I never really felt this though.

Heat soak on an NA car in particular is negligable and the effect vanishes as soon as cool air enters the bay (ie as soon as you start moving)

it filters less, which would be a concern to someone who knows its purpose and gives no measurable gains, plus while filtering less it spews oil on to the MAF sensor. Bargain.

The general consensus is not a lot of heat soak on something like a Focus 1.6 purely because the engine doesn't exactly put out a ton of heat.

but there will still be some to a degree, so if you must go down the induction kit route, an enclosed induction kit like the bmc cda will always be the best option. Unless you only care about getting a chavvy noise, where the k&n comes in to its own

K&N stick their filters in GruppeM induction kits. Same with Mugen.
