ok, so i was just doing some late night work in my dads work shop, sanding away at a side pannel i had made a mess of when painting it. when i looked up and saw the largest spider i had ever seen in real life.. it had made a rather large web on the glass door that lead outside from the workshop. so i think bloody hell and just leave it alone as i hate spiders in ever way possible..
anyway a few minutes later i again look up due to my hands aching from constant sanding.. only to see a massive slug also on the door..
i started to wonder, how does a thing that size get into the workshop! so i asked my dad and it turns out there was a gab in the door cos he couldnt be bothered to plaster the walls or anything yet lol.
anyway..more rubbing away at the metal..
i looked up again and thought jesus, that slug could not be heading in a worse direction than what it is right now.. right at the spider. and i mean bang on towards it, not just near it. so at this point i was asking myself can slugs defend themselves in any way at all? or are they almost as pointless as moths.. so the slug got closer and i was expecting a show down, huge slug vs hugeee spider.
it got to within a few cm from the actual spider so i put down the sandpaper to watch. then to my horror, the slug touched the spider! *puase* then it just kept going.... i mean what the hell! the slug just went over this spider.. the spider didnt even move, not a twich at all. it just let this huge thing crawl over it at 0.0001mph.
the spider was running around the web before the slug arrived, so it wasnt dead if thats what you were all thinking..
surely this cant be normal, i mean the spider should atleast move!?
now im scared to go into the work shop as after that heppend the spider moved location and i dont blame it one bit. but as i said im scared of spiders so cant take any chances
