Did anyone go to this then? It was bloody brilliant! Got a bit lairy at the end when people had too much to drink but that was inevitable.

Funny how they where protesting about the banning of alcohol and the night ends up with people being arrested for assault and criminal damage.

yeh, whatever they say about it being a protest, it was just an excuse for a party it seems.

from the videos on Youtube it looked pretty lairy, there was 1 guy running along the roof of the train in the station. They must have closed the circle line or something cos I couldn't get on ad Notting Hill gate - apparently there was a customer incident at Drury Lane

tbh that whole event makes me agree more with the ban, but it does turn up this related video which I found amusing:

We jumped on circle line on way to hammersmith to see what it was all about at about 8pm. It was great then, we were first on at Victoria, then more people joined and a few photographers came on. Then a guy with a guitar and had Mr Brightside singalong.

That was early though and in great spirit, but later on a friend came back to the pub as everything had ground to a halt, district being shot and delayed. Not much that could have been done as it just couldn't cope with this many people.

Glad I stayed in the pub :D

Oh my god, look at this one

Lol photographer at 16-17secs is from the Sunday times, don't think our picture will quite make it in there, not wild enough.

Looks great fun but very very silly as well. No wonder they closed the station far too many people on the platforms and very very dangerous, as one surge and a whole load of people would be very very toasty onthe line !

i didn't have a problem in principle with people having a good time, but i got the tube home last night around midnight and it was pretty disgusting.

there was vomit and alcohol all over the place at stations, the trains were delayed because of fights on the them, stations were shut because of disturbances

i think this quote sums it up best:

Peter Moore, 35, a sailor from Brighton, said he had downed a can of beer in 10 seconds. "It's sweaty on there, but I'm going round and round until I vomit," he said.

people just can't have fun without taking it too far.

A pretty good example of why the morons in this country can't be trusted to drink sensibly - thus why we have to have petty laws like this introduced.

Hilariously ironic but also quite sad.

Ahh man, wasn't doing anything last night. Completely forgot about the ban. Should've hopped on a train!

Yey, lets get drunk on the tube so I can't stand up or walk without stagering everywhere and then just as a train comes into the station and i stumble... bam! One less alchie in the world.
