so i got this card and im scoring about 7900 points in 3dmark06.

im wandering if this is low because it seems a bit low to me. im running at default settings and im running the free version.

also in the counterstrike source stress test i only get 155fps . even when my 8600gts used to get about 165fps. what is with this ?

im running latest drivers and spec is in my sig.

thanks all

looks about right, it isn't exactly a very new card.
what's your cpu clocked at?

Doesn't look right to me, seems way low. I take it the usual things like chipset drivers have been updated and you've checked that AA/AF isn't on?
PCI-e running at the right speed?

Edit: Assuming C2D isn't at stock. :)

Seems about right to me...

Mine used to score about 8100-8400 all @ stock.

Post the individual scores for 3dmark and we can see if its performing as it should.

You should clock it btw as i managed 11.5k with mine clocked to the nuts and over 10k fairly easy.

I remember mine getting 9,100 at stock with E6300 @ 3.15ghz and now with the card Oc'd I am on 11,100 so your score looks low I would have thought

that score was with cpu at stock and gpu at stock oc.

looking at futuremark website and other peoples results in the score range . it may be right.

ill just get the individual score for you guys.

Would say its about right matey, i got about 8800 with mine at stock on a e6600.

Good news is i got just over 10k by overclocking the gpu alone (was a dell so couldnt overclock).

yeah its too low mate, do a driverclean uninstall, re-install latest drivers. check NVCP to see that you're on performance settings. check PCI-e lane speed with GPU-Z. Re-bench. Post results.

What drivers are you running? I found when i benched my GT at stock with the crappy BFG drivers i got well under 10K. Upgrading to forceware drivers made the world of difference.

im just downloading driver cleaner pro so will see what difference it makes but im using 175.16 drivers straight from nvidia. didnt bother with the ones on the bfg disc.

now im thinking that the score is pretty much right. i get 8000 virtual marks so thats pretty close to the actual score of 7900 3dmarks. its probably a mixture of my mobo not being a good overclocker and so my cpu running on stock. anyway performance in games is ok expect the counter strike stress test seems a bit low.

You have the quality set to perfromance in the driver with AA and AF off?
