Whats your job, and how much you take home monthly?

I'm a general IT Support type person with a bit of project work, I take home about 1250 a month, getting regraded in November if I'm still here

jeez, you really are taking the lowest that you can :D
not worried about that being a little alarm to the taxman at all?

im taking about £8800 a year, then the rest in divi's :D
It's what our accountant started us on. Maybe I should raise it with him, as we are doing much better than when we started. Cheers.

Mine offered a few, they said i could take the very bottom of the pile, but it might just make someone who is bored one day take a look at it.

Surely when you get into the higher rate tax bracket it's incredibly inefficient to do it that way?

As the company gets taxed at at least 20% and then you get an effective rate of 25% on top of that?

Nothing :(

My boss earns 4million euros per year. Shame he can't give me some of that :( :(
One day I hope to earn megabucks. Until then I shall be about.

Graduate Structural Engineer and my wage for the last year was £35k, low for the industy but in a few more years I get to go contract and will be on around £96k-150k depending on location and time spent offshore.

Work at Tesco as backroom staff for the home shopping or 'dotcom' department.

Currently take home £600 (yes full time as well! inc overtime!).

Once my tax is sorted it will be £714. And if they ever bloody sort out my wage it'll be £850. But that isn't going to happen thanks to their out right lying to me in my interview and employment law-breaking.

Bloody shocking really since I do more work, more days and more hours than all my co-workers (bar the managers and teamleaders) and they all get a lot more than me. I also have more responsibility than everyone (again bar managers and teamleaders) and do 1 hour unpaid work each day. Absolute pee take really!

Not being silly but you could probably leave and work in macdonalds, have no responsibilitys at all and earn about 1000 a month. Hell even working in a normal shop will probably see you bring home 1000 a month!

Im currently bored out of my mind in my job, bring home just under £2000 a month after tax. Seriously considering leaving and doing a degree just for the hell of it. The question is; is 28 to old to go back to uni? :/

In my mothers house. :( And it's going to be like that for a long time to come as well.

Having said that, some of the people I work with are only on circa 13k a year and manage it. God only know's how!
