Which 640gb ?

The "This Week Only" pushed me into my 6th purchase of the 640GB WD Drive.

I love them so much.

I think that drives under the same brand and model have a chance of being different.

Certainly one of the WD drives.

(Can't be more specific, my knowledge on the subject is just from trawling this one and I believe i've slept since reading it.

I have just ordered a F1 640gb. Tried Western Digital but never tried Samsung so gonna give them a go.

I think they're so close performance wise that you have to go for the company who specialise in Hard Drives.

I'd also be going on that reason. I've got a 500GB Samsung drive in our Sky HD box at home but for PC use I'd always take the WD over Samsung.

They have some new desktop drives coming with 334GB platters in the not too distance future though I can't say much till next week.

The single platter 320gb is the WD3200AAKS. Be careful though as the old 320gb is 2x160gb, and the new one is 1x320gb.

I mean with the higher density 334GB platter, if ther is I guess they won`t sell it as a 334GB drive
