I cant really see any point going for wireless.

Can anyone convince me otherwise?

I use a joystick for driving games will the pad be better?

For any half-decent driving game a wheel is by far your best bet, as long as you've got the desk space :). If you get a pad though I'd say go for the wired, as I've had all sorts of problems with the wireless receiver killing other USB devices.

have both of them for my pc. honestly theres no difference. except, you know, the lack of wire and a battery pack on one of them lol. shop around because despite what some people think, you CAN get the wireless pad + receiver in one package as i did. just search for '360 wireless controller for windows'.

wondered why i couldn't pick up the controller in XBCD :(

I do like the wireless controller as i can use the same controller for my xbox and pc easily and wirelessly.

Tried both, prefered the wireless one but ended up swapping it for a wired one with a mate as I constantly forgot to charge batteries for it and would use it once every few months only to find it's gone flat!

My fault for being forgetful and having poor rechargables though, if you can put up with having another cable then go for wired and save a few £. but the wireless is damn nice too.

Also XBCD driver doesn't work in vista also AFAIK??

Just used the default X360 controller vista driver and it works great. I use it for all my driving games.

I have the wired one but would love to have the wireless version.
