Ive just ordered broadband for my own place (currently at parents this weekend) and SHOULD be getting a new pc soon so i may start playing CSS on a regular basis.

Even though i can ONLY JUST get 1mb broadband...stupid 4km from exchange

I'm 6km (or miles, unsure) from the exchange and I get 2MB.

OMG how did you manage that lol? I havent got the line activated yet (takes 7days) but im told to expect 0.5-1mb

Well according to the BT site the max I can get is 0.5MB. But when the current ISP was started (year or two ago) BT site said 2MB.

And speed tests say I have 2MB.

BT did some funky range boosting stuff on the lines around here and so we get 2MB upto about 10km(or miles) from the exchange. Something like 5 or 6MB if you are within 4 or 5km as well.
