Ipod stops pc starting

This isn't really a problem just something I'm curious about. If I have my ipod plugged into my PC and turn it on then it won't go beyond the sort of post page until I pull it out. Then it continues booting up. Just wondered why this is. I think it happens on my laptop with other USB devices.

Well it's possible your PC is trying to boot from it, but it *should* then move on to the next boot priority when it fails to boot from the iPod....

yep, as said above... you computer is probably checking the device seeing if it can boot from it, but gets a bit stuck. Maybe if you left it long enough it would get there i the end... but much easier to just check you dont have it plugged in when booting up

Yeah it will be the computer sees it as a device it can boot from (an ipod does have it's own OS sort of) tries to, and probably gets stuck trying to boot from the ipod files
