WW2 has been done to death, Counter Terrorists has been done to death, future wars have been done to death.

And yet everyone jumps on the "zomg ww2 is so overdone" bandwagon for some reason and totally ignore the fact that modern and futuristic fps are equally old hat.

IMO the period in which it is set doesnt matter as long as the gameplay and the graphics are to a good standard.

Atleast it will have co-op, which what cod4 severely missed.

Call of Duty is so overrated.

certainly not, constantly produces great single player campaigns and multiplayer gaming.

Be interesting to see if IW can actually make a decent ww2 game.

this isnt made by IW, and they already have made 2 splendid ww2 games in cod1 and 2.

also, why do people moan at the fact that its ww2? as if current marines v terrorists isnt over done. and besides, cod1 + 2 multiplayers are better than cod 4's, and they are ww2.

I meant a decent ww2 game set in the pacific, all other attempts so far have been pretty average.

Shame that, would like to have seen them build on COD4. It is by far the best COD game. Pity they aren't taking it to the next level. Wouldn't have been too difficult to add some drivable vehicles, boats etc.

COD is split between treyarch and IW. Ill bet IW will stick to Modern combat from now on and treyarch to any WW2 games.

Lame ! Just call it CoD5 .
Others did the same ( eg. quake) and failed miserably.

Back to WWII then, is that a good move?

To hell with modern combat/fantasy land ( not referring fantasy to cod but shooters in general), long live WW2 .

I'm just having doubts about the makers, but that aside, I love the fact it's WW2 and all the ww2 nay sayers can go home .

Erm, riiight.
It's one of the best shooters ever made imo I consider CoD: UO far better than stuff like HL2 or other A class shooters.

I might get COD 2 and 3 if all the achievements are obtained offline has they're really cheap now. I say all achieveemnts offline because I'm sick of getting 360 games where it's impossible to get all the achieveemnts because no one plays them online anymore.
