Anybody had any supernatural experiences

I've had a few strange things, done a few strange things such as ouija boards elsewhere (and had glasses get hot and shatter and other strange things), but the house was where the more concrete examples are, as it was there we made as many efforts as possible to eliminate other possible causes.

ive stayed at a house what some of my family(the ones who had stayed there) claimed was a bit haunted....they always used to hear sounds(ppl running up stairs in heavy boots for example).
i always laughed at them asking them how come ive never heard anything....i used to visit sometimes stay a couple of weeks or more ...there was meant to have been an old couple living there previously who both passed away in the house.

my bro ended up sleeping in his car one time it got so bad.

not supernatural but unexplained, friend of mine googled for some piece of hardware he wanted for his pc (hdd or something) and the first result in google was a link to a forum post of someone looking for a relative in my friends home town, the relative turned out to be my friends mother, true story.

no, theres no such thing in 'supernatural' events imo

lysander, arnt u into all this wierd fake stuff? i seem to remember a thread where u were talking a load of tripe about it.

Not sure if I've posted our experience before, but here's the edited highlights.

Beloved OH and I were visiting a cousin and her husband with our new baby daughter when we were startled to hear their son screaming upstairs about a man in his room. OH and the husband ran upstairs but there was no-one there. Cousin is so disturbed that she leaves me in the lounge and runs down the road to call on a woman who she has been told is a medium. The lady comes into the house and goes straight upstairs and says that she can feel the presence of the man and that she feels like her back is burning. The son, she says is not to worry as this is his guardian spirit watching over him, and then turns to my OH and says congratulations on the birth of your baby daughter. OH is amazed as there is no way that she could have seen me and there is no indication that there is a baby in the house.

This lady then accepts an offer of a cup of tea and comes downstairs for a chat. She explains that everone has a guardian spirit and describes our daughter's. She perfectly describes my great grandmother, after whom our daughter is named.

Some months later, my cousin and her hubby are visiting his parents who live up north. He is in the loft with the son, searching for his old train set, when the son comes across a picture and says that this is the man who he saw. The parenst don't know who the picture is, so make enquiries amongst various relatives. It turn out that the picture is of a distant uncle and he died in the first World War from burns to his back.

^^ that sent a tingle down my back. That is crazy.

Never really had any experience, howveer one time i was awoken by some unknown reason and was startled to what i thought was a figure in my room. Thought it must have just been the fact i was still really sleepy.

Its only a 22 year old house so no previous owners. I am in 2 minds to ifi believe anything, however find it amazing to read other peoples stories.

Perfectly described how? If it's in terms of personality etc, then you are probably going to want to agree with them (confirmation bias). If it was appearance did she describe a young or old woman, the clothing they wore, either way you'll have heard what you wanted to.

my dad a few years ago was on train driver training. obviously they cannot train during the day as all the trains are in use so this was well into the early hours of the morning.

coming down the hill towards one of the small village stations a small boy dressed in a school uniform got up from the shelter and walked towards the train. as they got closer and the lights of the train beamed upon him, he had no head. nothing there at all.

safe to say neither him or his trainer wanted to stop :p

apparently a school boy died on the tracks many many years ago before.

I was lying in bed once, and it was dark and I saw a ghost. Then I woke up. I called in a medium, and she said that it was my great-grandfather's brother, and she knew that he was dead and that he was a man and that he had a job and that he died from problems in his chest or abdomen or getting shot without me even telling her. She asked if his name was Alf, John, Jack, Peter or Charlie but it wasn't it was Andrew and I told her and she said that was it. I gave her some money and she went away, and some money was gone from my mantelpiece but I think the ghost took it.

Acctually just remembered one from years and years ago in primary school.

We were out in the field tracing the leaves from trees - when you get a bit of paper, wax crayon & a leaf under the paper then draw....anyway.

We were sat doing this over looking the public playing field behind the school, in which there is a train track that is used by service vehicles that goes into a tunnel. Anyway a few of us heard some racing commentry like you do at a racecourse (horse racing).

Anyway fast forward a few years we were doing a history lesson, and learnt that there once used to be a race course where the school and park used to be...

Not unexplained but sleep paralysis and I can see why some people would think, it's ghosts/aliens/supernatural.
Had a flaming satan in my room, a dark presence, 3 alien type doctors injecting me in the stomach, snakes crawling around the room.

She described her physical appearance including hair, height, face, clothing and jewellery. I had not even spoken to this lady when this part of the conversation took place. It happened when my OH asked about guardian spirits and she went on to say, "like your daughter's one who is watching her now etc. etc..............................."

Apart from this evening, we actually went to see her a couple of months later and she described the birth of our son (which turned out to be a little dramatic) and we weren't even planning on any more children at that time.

I could tell you more but no-one reads long posts!! :D

When I was about 5 I was at me Great Grandma's house, which was really old with a massive coal chamber/storage thing in the outhouse. Anyway I was playing in this room by myself when I saw a very old man in the corner watching me. Being so young I didnt think much of it and went back into the house and said "Theres an old man out there".

So my mother who was with me went to look and there was nobody there. I explained what he looked like then she showed me a picture of my great grandad who had died about 10 years before. It was the exact same man and even today I get the chills when I see his photo.

The scariest thing is, I had never seen him before in my life until I was shown that photo after :o

Ive suffered from sleep paralysis. It's the most single frightening experience of my life thus far. My sister used to suffer from it a lot when she was younger, apparently.

Apart form that the nearest Ive had to a supernatural experience was coming home with a friend one night. He was driving me home along a country lane and, being in Kent, most lanes are hemmed in by high hedgerows. The road was fully illuminted by the ehadlights but a figure wearing a blue top just seemed to appear at the side of the road in front of us, out of nowhere. It was pretty scary; one moment an empty road, next, there was someone standing at the edge of it. Seemed to have materialised out of the hedgerow and it was odd because it happened so quickly, by the time we'd seen it, we had passed. I turned to my friend who was driving and he confirmed he'd seen it too.

Ive no doubt there was nothing supernatural about the experience, just thought I'd mention it for the fright it gave us :D

I've suffered with it since I was about 3, it's my earliest memorys, use to scare the hell out of me. Luckily I saw a documentary about it when I was 14ish. after that I was fine as I knew what it was. It will be something I show my kids if I ever have any. Have had any in a few years know though.

I only had it once. I had the feeling that I was being pinned down by my wrists and ankles. The only part of my body which I could control was my eyes, I couldn't even shout even though I was trying to. Luckily it passed fairly quickly, and Ive never had it since, thankfully.

I frequently feel as though someone is sitting on the edge of my bed. I look up and there's nobody there.

I saw somebody go into the toilet where I work which was strange because I'm the only bloke.
I went in and I was going to say something but there was nobody there.
I don't know whether its got anything to do with the life support machine in there.
That was brought up in a thread a few days back, wasn't it? Strange story. And that machine is creepy. Almost like something you'd see in those sanitarium movies.

I was in my bathroom about 6 years ago and for some reason the name "Yuri Gagarin" popped into my head.
Onomonopaeia? :p
