TripleHead2Go

i use one at work, its ace for massive amounts of desktop space. Be advised that they can only support either 3x 1280*1024 or 3 x 1366*768 (widescreen) resolutions at the most. they can obviously do all the lower res's too.
You just have to decide whether you want one big high res screen, or whether seeing more around you is important to you.

I was looking at getting 3 x 24" with one for home use but th elimiting resolutions made me decide against it. Although another option is a Dell 24" and 2 20" on there side as they fit perfectly, giving you a little bit of a compromise in between i think.

A little overkill do you not think? I'm certainly no tree hugger but this is a bit like driving around in an SUV just because you can.

I think it's just a bit different from driving around in an SUV...

There's plenty of reasons some one might want 3 screens. You might not be able to think of a reason yourself, but I know I have a few reasons why I myself would use 3 (and I plan to unless 30" monitors start coming out with a res of 3840x2400). Music production really likes to have multiple screens, and 3 24s would be exceptionally nice for that.

Cheaper than a 30" monitor, with more usable real estate.

Not used one, but am looking at it quite seriously.

Then there's the idea of surround gaming... mmmmmmmm.

Well its great for my flight sim, i wouldnt get the wide perspective view (which allows me to see more panel, and out of the side windows) if it wasnt for the triple head, absolutely superb device, and doesnt seem to effect performance at all
