Official Focus RS

I do not understand the point in this car. I can chip mine to 265BHP for £500 quid RRP or a lot less 2nd hand dreamscience units

Guessing it'll have better suspension, brakes, LSD, nicer seats as well though which when adding up the cost of buying and fitting them would cost a bit. Plus it's all under warranty, depending on the price it might not be that bad.

In all honesty think we'll need to wait for a definitive review before totally slating it, maybe they can also put it on a bit of a diet :p 4wd would have made it, but then the Megane R26 seems to be raved about and I can see this being very similar if they get it right.

Why the crap looking paint job....

Guessing it's to try and disguise the lines/looks of the new bumpers.

I'm very meh about it, just won't be as good as they could've done due to the accountants I fear.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Ford want to sell between 5000-7000 of them too so aren't even going to be that exclusive either.

Big disappointment to be honest. It should have been AWD, 350BHP, 1100KGs and produced in very limited numbers. Now that would have been special. ;)

Like everyone, I want it to be a 4x4, but as above, it would probably be getting on for £30k, the Escort Cossie was best part of £30k when it ceased production.

Great looking car though.

major fail :(

its just a slightly revised st :(

not much to write home about, I mean go back to the old days of the cosworths

look at the xr's and the RS's then :) the difference was night and day, when comparing an xr4 with a sierra cossie, or a rs2000 and a esc cossie :)

oh ford you've failed miserably and the bean counters have taken over :(

i wanted 400 horses AWD and trouncing scoobies and evos :)

you could always have released this kiddy on rs as a revision of the ST which is all it really is

Haven't heard of a single person yet who isn't p***** at it being FWD, so their market for it is going to be taking a bit of a hit surely. What with a diminished interest in the current generation impreza and evo this was a real chance for Ford to capture the market. Instead we get what sound closer to a ST with a body kit than a RS :(
