Project 'sillyteg'

no way :(

I have no expertise of anything mechanical, but if I can help in any way, let me know Ben.

I'm so ****** off. I'm seriously considering just cutting my losses and selling it as-is now :(

Absolute waste of time, money and energy :(

Don't junk it now. You'll regret it even more. Put it away and leave it there for a week or two. Collect your thoughts and have another go - or when funds allow.

DIY builds like this are prone to these things happening - its why we pay ££££ in labour charges to get someone else to do it. Its going to be a long process especially what your doing.

Hang in there.

Unlucky man, you really aren't having the best luck, and it all seemed to be going so well (since the engine went in) until now :(

I'm getting sick of rebuilding mine too, about to get it "running" for the 2nd time, another £621 lighter.

I pick it up in just over an hour, lets see what happens.

do you really think it's the HG? I know you were saying something about the liner heights being out by a few thou' before you assembled the block, did you get it decked?

No, I didn't get it decked in the end. I suppose it could be the HG, I'll check coolant levels later.

Sorry to hear that. You really do have the ******* luck with cars.

I'm sure this post has helped.
