Project 'sillyteg'

Thats what I was thinking.

Your cars have all been fantastic but didn't you cite 'I can't be bothered with the problems' when you sold the RX7? I can understand you were thrown into the situation with the duff engine in this integra. Just get back into a scoob and pimp the people carrier ;)

That P1 is worth nearly twice what a 96-spec Integra is worth though. I don't get why standard cars are being recommended, he wouldn't have issues with a standard Integra, like his old SiR which I believe was trouble free.

don't give up Drex, you know silly teg will be an absolute riot when its working properly.

:)

EDIT - Subaru Impreza P1's give me the horn :( I had enough money to get one.. but couldn't insure one, so got a Diesel ;)

Yea I was just thinking to myself how when people mention the quickest A to B cars around you often hear a list like... Mitsubisihi EVO FQ, Impreza STi, Audi RS4, Porsche 911 Turbo, Honda Civic..

You should try it you know ;) I've witnessed first hand an EK Civic keeping pace with 2 classic STi's and an Evo 8. In fact the Civic was the quickest of them all in the bends.

I really hope you dont throw the towel in on the teg drex :( even if you put to the back of your cash flow for now, when its all done it will be so worth it, chin up.

I was looking forward to seeing this finished! That truly does suck! Keep going at it.

What kind of power are you estimating ?

What kind of power are you estimating ?

Around 350bhp. The rods/pistons/sleeves are good for 500+, and the turbo is good for around 400, but that's daft through the front wheels, I wouldn't want to go much more than 300-350.

After spending loads of time and money on modded cars in the past I don't think I'll be going down that route anymore. As much as I love modding cars, my modding will be limited to stuff like a basic ICE install, maybe lowering but certainly not anything like what Drex has done here as it always ends up costing twice as much as you estimate, taking twice as long, and just generally frustrating you.

When I had my MR2 I did everything bar any major engine mods. I seriously considered going the whole hog and aiming for 500BHP but I'm so glad I didn't cos I don't know of a single person who did that who is glad that they did. They all had major problems, often requiring multiple engine rebuilds, generally costing shed loads before they gave up and cut their losses.

Personally I think that a Teg is a good enough car as it is, you can have so much fun in a car like that, you don't *need* silly power, just enjoy it how it is. If I were you I'd be looking at just dropping a standard engine back in, selling the old one and turbo bits and just actually getting to drive it rather than throwing money at it and having it stood around.
