***THE OFFICIAL OCUK FATHERS DAY THREAD***

I hate crap like this. When I have kids I'm going to insist that they come down rather than anything else. No card or present either grr...

I usually get mine a card - which I did but left in Liverpool, so I've had to pop out and get another before he arrives back home. The card section in Tesco had loads of people searching around lol.

I also got him a coffee maker lol, he'll use it for five minutes then stick it in a cupboard but I suppose it's the thought that counts lol..

Just gave Dad a card with some money in it. He's got his eye on something for his computer and I know he'll put it towards that. We're having a bbq later for him at my sisters house and all of us are going up which is quite a rare occasion these days. This time last year he was diagnosed wtih cancer so it's been a tough year of hospital visits/stays and opearations so it's a relief he's still with us. Spoil your dad while you can that's what I say!

I got a chef's hat with "grumpy old git" written on it, a card, and the gihugest bar of toblerone I've ever seen.:D

Now I've just been told the washing machine isn't working and i've now got to go and fix it.

Got mine a card and put a little card inside that says May be redeemed for one free meal of your choice plus a beer :D

good on the spot thinking I thought lol

I had to pick up my 16yr old from a midnight starting 13 mile charity walk for the Butterwick Hospiceat at Sedgefield racecourse, at 4am this morning. She said happy fathers day then.

My other two were having a sleepover and the living room was trashed and covered with sleeping girls when I got up.

Around eleven my youngest two woke up and gave me cards. We had to wake the eldest up at 1pm when she gave me 'the present'.

It was a T shirt with "I used to be in a rock band, now I just have kids" written on it :D

Gränsfors Bruks Small Forest Axe for my old man, a slightly strange gift but I hope he will like it. Not seeing him today but are we are going for dinner on Tuesday.

Nothing. :)

I hardly speak to my dad, he hardly acts like a dad (never involved with the family etc.), and he is just generally not that great a person, so I don't see the need.

bought my dad a bottle of jaimesons whiskey, not getting him a card though purely because i think cards are completely pointless wastes of money

I Got a card, sausage sandwich, pair of socks and a drawing my little girl done for me :)

Best about it, she took the drawing back and gave it to my dad when we went to visit, turns out it was for him all along :D

My Dad's been my biggest source of inspiration, really gutted I couldn't get down to Swindon this weekend :(

got some nice hand made cards off the kids, a new cycling top and a pair of slippers chossen by my daughter thats got the grumpy old geezers from the muppets on
