UK, June 16, 2008 - A leaked document on marketing company intelliresponse's site contains supposed details for the as yet unannounced Forza 3 for the Xbox 360, detailing a possible VIP membership scheme for the game as well as stating that it will come over two discs.

The document – which appears to be a questionnaire put together for both Microsoft and Activision and contains convincing information on other upcoming titles from the two companies – also puts forward the question, "Suppose when Forza 3 launches a special VIP membership program was available that would entitle the buyer to all future Forza 3 downloadable content, access to exclusive on-line race events and prizes, VIP status on Forza Auction House and Community boards, extra server space for photos and videos, and a free month of LIVE. The VIP membership would be available for $19.99."

Elsewhere, the document also states that Forza 3 will have over 400 cars and 100 tracks spread over two discs. We've approached Microsoft about the leak, but are expecting the normal response declining to comment on speculation and rumour.

I'd be happy if it makes the games bigger and better :) Don't know how it might cripple the game for online though.

100 tracks? Gotta be some reverse variations in there surely? :p

Cant see how a 2-disc racing game would work, if it's true they will probably either have to cut back, or make it HDD only and utilise that somehow.

If its true the second disc could just be a installation disc to install it to the HDD and then the main disc would use it like it would DLC I would imagine.

Thats what happened with Oblivion GOTY anyway. I know there is the issue of people not owning a HDD, but its the only reasonable explaination I can think of really.

Yeah thats what i thought, to keep all the tracks online it would need some sort of install?

100 tracks on forza? More like 100 different ways to play Leguna Seca :D

A 2 disk racing game really doesn't sound promising!

Surely an install would mean that a lot of 360 users can't play it? Only other way would be to have arcade and multiplayer on 1 then career on the other, but that still means they would have all tracks and cars on each disk.

One version of Gran Turismo came on two discs, but slightly different concept, one was arcade and one was solo...

I would imagine it would install one disk to the HDD and play off the other..

The older Gran Turismo games were on 2 discs. One for the Simulation/Career mode and the other was the Arcade disc :)

It would be nice if this was installable like a 2 disc PC game, and then only requires 1 of the discs to be in the drive from then onward.

This is where Microsofts idea of not putting HDD's in every Xbox360 as well as overcharging massively on them is really going to shoot them in the foot.

The thing is, nobody is ever going to be happy whatever the manufacturers do.

People moan when you can install stuff like on the PS3 because it takes up too much HDD space, and you have the initial install when you first play the game.(although the moaning is usually done by non-PS3 owners)

Then you get people moaning when you can't install stuff and you have to swap discs, as in this thread.

Personally I think gamers of today are a bunch of moaning b******** and should just deal with it.

Seriously, is it such a big deal that you have to wait 8-15mins when you first put a game in for it to install if it improves performance?

Is it really a big deal that it will cost you 5gb of your HDD when HDD prices are so cheap (well unless you buy the 360 one) AND you can remove it when your done with the game?

And is it really a big deal that you have to get your ass off a chair to swap a disc every how many hours through a game?

Worst thing about this gen = The Whiners!

(I have a headache and am in a bad mood :p)

Edit: Forza 3 looks great btw, there is a screenshot floating around the net.

The issue I have with PS3 installing Inoshishi is that more often than not it DOESN'T improve performance. It took me just over 10 minutes to install MGS4, only to hit 2 load points in 20 minutes for example. The HDD is used on PS3 to equal performances from other machines because BR reads too slowly.

I don't have a problem with that (installing - though I'd rather not), what I have a problem with is the declaration that it does help performance (on PS3), because the performance with it still isn't that great, no more than other consoles do reading straight from disc.

I was one of the ones stating that the HDD was a great addition to the original Xbox and also to the PS3. All Xbox360's SHOULD have come with large HDD's as default because at worse case scenario, developers can always use it to pull themselves out the ****.

You are right though, people will always complain one way or another.

Not bothered about disk swapping tbh. As long as the bugger has a LOT more tracks I'll be happy. The tracks is the only thing that made me play Forza2 less then I did, and I played it and still do quite a bit.
