Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots *Snaaaaake! Edition*

Ive just done a tranq only run even against the bosses beast forms, well on every but the last as it isnt possible.

There is a air shotgun and tranq sniper to use as well that are very handy.

Maybe i'm playing it wrong but i'm killing when I feel I need to and knocking them out at oher times. It's the first MG i've played so in a way just playing it through. Am enjoying it but can I onlly save at the end of an ACT so nothing is lost - took 4 hours to get through ACT2.

You can save whenever you want from the menu, it'll save from when you last received a 'check point' message. You get them pretty frequently, pretty much each new area.

You're not playing it wrong. You're just doing what you have to do to complete your mission :) On the other hand, if you were just running around shooting everything then personally I would feel that's not the best way to play it (ie. you won't get the most out of the experience).

You need to use the Wanted forum, people have been suspended for asking for things and trading outside of the designated forums.

Just a word of warning...

I didn't even know about that forum untill someone on mirc told me. OCUK don't make their rules clear enough, there should be a link in the navbar called "rules."

Just saying. :)

Fair enough.

Look what I found for sale. Only 1 of each were ever made. They're custom made and painted. Going for a insane crazy amount though. :D

All the shotguns in the game can use the air rounds, which is incredibly handy to know. This includes the masterkey, and automatic ones (which are surprisingly effective even at range).

Edit: Lmao, read this:
The events of 38-year-old Hideo Kojima's life prepared him to design the amazing video game Metal Gear Solid 2. As a child growing up in Kobe, Japan he played outdoor games like thief-and-detective, peeking around corners in much the same way as Solid Snake, the hero of MGS2, does today. In middle school he wrote five 600-page science-fiction novels. When one of his friends brought a camera to school, Kojima took up filmmaking, using his camera. Then he charged neighborhood kids 50 yen each to see his own movies. By the time he reached college, he had worked for Nintendo to develop video games using film techniques and became famous as a video game designer.

Could someone link me to a youtube/GT video summarising the MGS history (story not the actual game history)? I'm about to start playing but need to get up to speed!

Google for Metal Gear Retrospective, there's 6 parts on Gametrailers. I've just finished watching them. If you just want an overview of the actual story then just watch part 6.

Just finished it, this game has been hyped and hyped way back since 2005, I never thought it could ever live up to the amount of hype it got, but I will be honest and say it has, and then some.

Not only does this game have the best graphics and best sound I have ever seen or heard on any video game, on any platform, it also tells the story perfectly, this game has set new standards not only in graphics and sound, but in emerging the gamer into the story, I have never been emotionally touched by a game before until now.

Kojima Productions have raised the bar by a long way imo.
