As titled am going to a barn dance which should be funny as i dont dance and cant dance
can anyone shed some light please as to what ive let me self get roped into :eek:

get drunk, have a bbq. Dance with some girls. It's all pretty simple stuff. They tell you how to dance. All great fun...

I love barn dancing it's great fun although mind you don't tell your chavy mates as they will take the micky out of you. Certainly works up a thirst I usually end up drunk.

my uncle does the calling for barn dances. They great fun, dont worry about not knowing how to do the dances the caller will talk you through it and if they are good get every one involved and enjoying themselves.

A few drinks may help you get into things

My first regular "gig" was with a barn dance band, playing saxophone in a 6 or 7 piece lineup, I think I was about 13/14 when I started that. £50 a gig at that age was a lot of money!

Barn Dances are great, no real dancing, just hopping backwards and forwards, the caller will tell you what to do before each dance. It's usually great fun, a bit of a laugh, and an excuse to dance with some girlies, can't lose!

I've done this, it's great fun. Have some drinks and get to know a lot of people very quickly as you are passed around from person to person.

Its awful! I sat on the sidelines for a LOOONNGGG time while some gays danced in the middle. And the ones standing at the side were the cool ones this time, trust me.

did you seriously say no booze (still in shock). but the church uses red wine, so just take loads of that and get tanked
