Really does **** me off that most you guys here think that you are above the staff that work at purple shirt land.
I work there and I always give cracking customer service, always make sure I save the customers money as best I can, and make sure the customer gets EXACTLY what they need - wether its an ink cartridge, or the right spec PC to suit their needs.
Im also top salesmen aswell 9 times out of 10 on a weekly basis
Just thought id say that to prove to you lot most people at purple shirt land are not numpties...
But in answer to your question azza - If you have any experience involving customer service - let them know about it, they love it. As soon as I told them about my years experience at the marriott hotel - they lapped it up big time!
Also, a customer advisors are basically salesmen - if you have any previous sales experience, also let them know of this.
And the most important thing...be yourself!!!(unless your a ****

There are many decent sales staff there mate don't take it so personally

I have also encounterd the opposite, last year on a lunch break I nipped out to buy a SATA cable, it's a big shop, I was in a rush so I asked where they were, a what cable sir? the purple shirt asked...........

I've also had people in there falling over backwards to help, the problem is that it's a little like a supermarket, not everyone will know about their selection of fruit and veg but some will take the time to find out.
