age of conan or world of warcraft?

Well they are 2 different games i could not fairly compare them because i prefer PvE MMO so WoW would be my suggestion but AoC is a PvP game so if PvP is what you like then AoC.
 
Very difficult to compare the two tbh. If you haven't played WoW before then I'd suggest going for that as it's very polished these days.
 
Well, ive never played wow or aoc.. the only similar type i have played is runescape.

my mother was out in the shops just now so i told her to get aoc because wow wasnt there, at least not in tesco

hope i havent made a mistake buying it.. kind of hard to decide since there seems to be mixed opinions
 
well i like runescape, if thats even comparable at all

just hope i can get into it, i dont want play for maybe 5 mins and decide i hate it.. that would be a complete waste lol

btw if anyone wants to see my rs char its name is perfect_chao spent quite a while on it over a couple of years

I'd go with the WoW trial first, see how you get on with it. AoC has had some very mixed reviews, whereas WoW's status is no accident. I've spent 4000+ hours on WoW and don't regret any of it - with the new expansion later this year, it's only going to go from strength to strength.
 
WoW tbh. Played AoC and didn't like it all.
WoW levelling has just had a huge buff and they're also lowering the level you can get your first mount in the next patch, so I don't think you'll get bored quickly tbh. I still recommend taking a trial first though, as it's possible you may just not like the 'feel' of the game at all.
 
Well, having played AoC for 20 days after spending many months playing WoW, I can safely say that for now WoW wins.

Whilst WoW pulls you into the world very well, AoC just feels empty for me no real charm after the interesting combat system wears off.
 
I tried AoC, but for me WoW is much better at the moment, far less annoying bugs and much better content. Like Huddy says above, WoW is more immersive for me despite it's less realistic style, AoC to me felt very flat and uninvolving - if I were you I'd try a free trial of WoW first to see if it suits you.
 
Was a WoW semi-addict for years. Tired of it now though so thought AoC would replace it. Played it for like a week and just haven't had the desire to load it up ever since.
 
i playe d ao c is nice ut its still bugy and schizle up im lvl 30 and i quit so cobme back to it after few months should be nice graphics are super do

I'm going to give the wow trial a go later, sleep first !

still not decided what to do about aoc though

what is the main problem with aoc anyway? will it be up to wow standards with updates?, allow you to do some skills? or will it always just be mainly a fighting based game with quests and hardly any skills?

if so, i suppose ill change the game for wow.. provided i even like one out of the 2 games :/
