I was at Bruntingthorpe last night taking some photographs of the planes when I spotted this in the car park. Obviously it's an SLK and I'm guessing an SL55 by the vents, but what on earth is that big "M" logo on the front all about, as well as those stripes up the bonnet and boot. They also had the "M" on them.

SLK or SL? Make your mind up ;)

I was under the impression they were the same thing, just the "SL" was the quicker version? Is that not so?

Reason I said both was because it has the SL55 bonnet vents, but not the vents in the wings...much like the SLK.

That clear is it?

Personalised it so much that they've had the caligraphic M in the center caps of the 19" BBS style black and polished split rims, stitched in to the leather interior, fabricated in to the customised front bumper and had the vinyls made to match?

I have a feeling that it's a little more than just a personalised merc.

It's an SLK, has AMG bodykit, but looking at the lapels on the seat it may well be a SLK55 AMG.

It has Brabus front fogs

Why would somebody go to the trouble of having a custom made "M" logo for the front though?

It was an auto, had tinted rear lights too and the wheels were big black BBS looking split rims, but kerbed to high heaven.

Did it have 4 exhaust pipes?
