Yes yes. I meant, if you're behind a car coming into the chicane and you don't brake when he does, you carry on, then you're "ahead", but can't brake for the chicane, should you keep the place?

Clearly not, and this is clearly what hamil did.

If Hamilton was going at a speed that enabled him to take the chicane he would not have passed Vettel.

This is sad F1 has become daft, too many rules too harsh penalties.
By the a 15yr old brit won the 125 race at donnie. no penalties, no pedantic rule makers.

Clearly not, and this is clearly what hamil did.

It's not a chicane that you really brake for that one. If he was well past before the turn in then it should have been fine. Hamilton made the first apex on turn in, but went over the second.

But what does it matter - he was penalised on something that was exceptionally marginal. Other teams have got away with much worse but today it was McLaren.....

*Oh yes - I forgot that Hamilton is the antichrist on here and should have been banned for 10 years given that the McLaren was a Ferrari last year. I also forgot that my opinions go down as nicely as a turd sandwich*

I'm pretty sure the FIA will turn their attention to BMW pretty soon. Just to ensure that Ferrari have it all their way. No point in beating up on McLaren, when they aren't Ferrari's main competitors anymore.
