Three teenagers, two of them girls, have admitted stealing a luxury Bentley before leading police on a high-speed pursuit and crashing into a tree.

Five police officers suffered minor injuries when the three patrols cars they were in crashed during the pursuit on the A35 in Hampshire in April.

At Southampton Youth Court, the girls, 17, and the boy, 15, admitted theft.

Both girls, who were told they were lucky to escape with their lives, received detention training orders.

One of the girls - who admitted taking a vehicle without consent, dangerous driving, driving without a licence and burglary - was told she would be automatically banned for 12 months should she ever apply for a driving licence.

Is it about time under 18's were properly charged for their actions given the rising chav culture? I'd hate to be a police officer involved in that chase. You risk your life and they get away with no sentence at all!! :mad:

So glad I decided to not join the police force when i finished Uni.
 
Well the police should not have been chasing them if they were likely to crash. But then again, if they did crash and kill someone no doubt it would just be an 'accident' and the officers would get a slap on the wrists.
 
It just annoys me that as someone who has lived by the law and grew up NOT stealing cars, etc as I was bored I dont see why others feel the need to.

I have finally moved to a nice area in town and a few houses in the area have been given to a bunch of unemployed chavs who spend all their time shouting out their window late at night to each other, having arguments in the house with each other which we can hear across the street and commiting crime. Why do I have to pay for the place when they were given a house in a nice area for free.
 
Bring back capital punishment for the worst crimes - then at least we'd have room for idiots like this.
 
Rip sky TV/comforts out of prisons
Build more prisons with bare essentials like it used to be
Fling any criminal for even a minor offence (such as this) in prisons.

We have no room in our prisons at the moment. You would think the government would address this issue by putting more police on the streets and build more prisons with more prison guards etc..... But no we will waste money on surveys that address the problem but dont do anything about it and then just let everyone off any crime. You have to love Britain these days its shocking.

Wouldnt work though! Watch that Louis Theroex (sp?) program where he spent 2 weeks in San Franciscos most notorious prison. The inmates didnt have sky tv or anything but still said it was easier inside than outside so kept coming back!

It is.

Too much is being given out to people who can't be bothered to get a job, and/or come across from another country with their hands held out.

The country cannot sort itself out because it's too screwed up. Ironic eh? :rolleyes:

If the government stop wasting money and listened to what 90% of this country wanted instead of funding silly pointless schemes. Problem being is that this will never happen. What the government say and do are completely different things. I would pay more tax if I could see results such as a drop in crime, higher employment, harsher sentences for crimes but once again this will never happen.
