first 4870 review

Man what i would give to listen in on one of the nvidia meetings after they see these numbers.

Bet they are bricking themselfs at the moment. An average of 10% slower than the GTX280 is just mental good, looking at the various numbers as well, AMD were right, the 4870 is indeed 20-30% faster than the 4850, for once there were very few lies about a product they have been pretty much bang on.

It doesnt work for me. Says url can't be found. But reading the comments it seems its almost as fast as a GTX 280! 90% of the performance of a 280 for 46% of the cost!
 
Great performance from the ATI card there, Im really considering the 4870 now, never thought it woud be so close to the 280.

Looks like the 30% increase over the 4850 seems to be true (roughly) when you look at 4870 vs 4850 comparison ;).
