!!!IN STOCK ATI 4870!!!

Wow... Well is the £217 4870 in stock? I wnat to order something today damn it!

Erm no. OCUK are the only people with stock. By the looks of things other retailers won't be getting their cards in for a week or so. Therefore OCUK can charge the hell they want.

They always get first stock allocation from ATi. Guess Gibbo is having a love affair with one of the seniors or something :p

Ok saying that but im guessing most people will just wait for other places to get stock unless they really want the card today. Seems others are more concerned with waiting on the 1 gig version anyway.

@ Gino, looking at the reviews though there seems to be some driver problems with 3 or 4 cards at the moment. Performance isnt as good as it really should be. If you want to get 3 or 4 you may want to wait until the price drops abit before you buy some more.

Do you know when the 1GB versions are due?

Anyone not happy with the UK pricing should contact ATI Directly.

At the end of the day its ATI that can ultimately force UK retailers to follow there RRP

Plenty of people will want this card today. It's still cheap considering the performance you get out of it. (In between 260/280)

Hell if I really wanted one still I'd have bought one at those prices just like I did with the 2900. I'm holding off for the x2 version though :D

I would LOVE to see pricing enforced by the company that owns the product. This first day and supply and demand bs is just getting to be old hat.

Yep, myself and a couple of mates tried 7 places out of curiosity, NONE of them have stock whatsoever regardless of what their sites indicate

When people say the day 1 price is not good price/performance I dont understand, do they want the card given away, what part of "average of 80+% performance of a GTX280 for 50% the price" is poor ? For single slot cards only the GTX280 and ocasionally the GX2 are quicker, and for an average of £80 and £220 more expensive, it's quicker than the new 9800GTX+ for approx same price, and when comparing to the likes of CF4850 and SLI8800GT not everyone wants 2 cards or to have to replace their MB
